I have both a landline and a mobile phone. Both are very important. I spend most of my time out of the house because of work. And whatever time I have in the house is left for sleeping. So most of the time I can be reached by my mobile phone. The house phone is important to because i call my some of my family often and its better for long talks and discussions since it doesn't have a battery to drain, and it doesn't pack up on prices. Plus it's our only form of contact to home when me and my hubby are away at work.

I don't see any reason to pay two bills for cell phones and land lines. Its pointless in my opinion. I can barely aford the bills I do have, and even those I think are too high. I gave up on a land line years ago. I just have my cell phone, and currently live next door to a convince store. Also living in an apartment I personally think it would be difficult not to find someone to help you in a time of need.

I have had a landline for 50 years of my life. When I turned fifty I got a cell phone and got rid of the landline. As of January 2010, I got rid of the cellphone and went back to the landline. I used the cellphone for only two years. After the contract expired in January I decided I had to go back to the landline because I kept getting pain in my head above my ear on the side that I would usually use my phone. Then I had to start using the speaker all the time and that can also be annoying because you don't want the world to hear your conversation. Now I'm back to the landline and I don't miss the cell phone at all. Its nice to go out again and people can't reach you all the time. Its like getting a bit of my privacy back.

I don't have a landline, but I do have a cell phone. I just decided I didn't need both phones, as it is just cheaper to pay one bill, than 2. It is more convenient for mr to use my cell phone, and I don't have to worry about a lot of telemarketing calls whcih I got on my landlline all the time, and that is another reason I won't have a landline. To many telemarketers at any hour of the day, but as long as they don't know my cell number they can't bother me, as they certainly are annoying. Oh sure I do get wrong numbers once in awhile on my cell, but not really all that much, and I am glad for that too. Take care, and have a very good day.
