Through Blog earn money......

Many of my friends advice me to earn money through out making the blogs...
But really i don't know how much its possible ..
Did anybody give me money,reason for creating a blog ? I think its not practical,
With out their own profit anybody will spend their money....
Did any body will earn money through their blog?
I think most answer is no ? If your answer is yes tell me please ,How its possible?

The only way to make money through a blog or through facebook is if you have something of value you can offer for free and a business you are already running. For example, I consult internet network marketers for free and I also have a home business. On my facebook page and on my blog I offer my free e-book link: http://ginalopina.successin10steps.com and when people download the book I receive some information on them. If they are interested in being mentored for free and being on free mentoring/marketing calls, I will give that to them. At no point do I try to "sell" them my home business but sometimes they are interested in that. That is how my team uses blogs and facebook. It is easier to use facebook because you can make friends on facebook whereas you have to find someone to view your blog-and subscribe to it.
