I am starting to think some people are totally psychotic and proud of it!

Have you ever encountered people(in real life or online) that is nothing more than a total troublemaker and they seem to not be able to live if they don't create drama? I have people like that in my life that LOVE it. How can they sleep at night? Why are people that way and how do you handle these people? Do you ignore them? Do you argue with them or do you sit back and watch them make fools of themselves? Also, are they really mentally insane or just really insecure with their life and just want attention?

hi I have met a few here on mylot and after being thoroughly insulted by this person who made a big deal over several very mild statements of mine, I just decided to do something I never do, I reported this person , I dont know if it was a drama queen or a drama king, but evidently mylot admins felt the same way, as my response was not deleted but his comment to my response was definitely deleted.Seems this person despised people who used the census for genealogical purposes and made it into something completely different from what I had stated. What I had said had no bearing on t his person, I just mentioned that people who research their family trees use old censuses for information quite often and this is true. I really don't know what made this person tick but this poster sure liked to stir up trouble when there was nothing to stir up trouble over.

MAybe they misunderstoood the comment. I am not seeing where that is offensive in any way. Luckily though this is the internet and when you turn off your computer it all goes away. Unlike family members lol

I have met people like that in real life and on online game. I sometimes wonder why they love doing it. Could it be because they don't have goals in life or they are just bored or else they grow up in dysfunctional home. You could be right maybe they just want attention.

There are a lot of these in the university I am in now. They are the type that just seek attention through foolish behaviors and are actually proud of what they are doing. They probably have that kind of disorder and cannot live normally without creating a scene. I get to live with these type of people in my college life and just ignore them because I do not want to be involve in any trouble, and as much as possible I try to get out of their way.

Well when it comes to college age people alot has to do with mental maturity. When I was in college and in a dorm full of girls there was always trouble. I was the shy one and kept to myself and stayed out of their business but people would still unload the gossip. One girl actually got jealous of another and her boyfriend and vandalized her car. She thought it was so hilarious and clever but little did she know people looked down on her and lost respect.

I've known more than my fair share of people like that. I do not like that, I do not engage in that kind of behavior so those type of people are out of my life. I will not speak with them. It is not worth the trouble they cause for me to be associated with them, and some are just plain psycho mean and just have the nastiest things to say. I often wonder if they stay up half the night trying to find some new thing to pick at. There is a saying that people don't think about how they can mess up your day and plan it out, but I do believe some people actually do. No one can be so horrible without practicing it. This discussion has brought forth some really bad memories...........

And some people distort things and try to turn others against you. That is the saddest in my opinion. I have had that happen to me a few times, but usually it all gets resolved. I dont blame you for avoiding people like this. I am sorry this brought back some bad memories. Bad memories is what caused me to start this topic. Lets just say I have had one heck of a week and now the viewers of mylot are having to put up with my ranting like this topic lol.

I have a couple of neighbors that are in to "drama". Everything is blown out of proportion. I don't let it bother me and I usually just sit and listen. But sometimes, when they're way over the top, I'll try and calm them back down and it works...at least for a few minutes, until they get on to the next topic of discussion. I wouldn't classify them as insane, just really insecure...

My boyfriend is between jobs right now and is quite stressed about it. He is a little high strung and we are like day and night. He is kinda hyper and I am the laid back one. He is from up north and me being from Tennessee alot of our ways differ. It makes for some interesting conversations though lol. I try my best to calm him down but rarely does it work. But he does tell me all the time how he appreciates the effort. At least he knows I care. One thing I have learned is when people are dramatic it usually means they have some inderlying insecurities and it usually shows in the drama they create. Many times its because they want attention and feel they dont get enough unless they stir something up.

I know of some people who are like it, I just try and stay away from them when they are creaing situations for themselves, but I will try and be friendly to them when it is safe. ;-)

My boss was such a kind of person, I also think that she is insane at the same time. She acted so unprofessional sometimes and nasty. I really hate her because sometimes she even makes fun with me and I dont know why.

Hi Beth, Oh sure girl I've met people like that. It is irritating a lot of times but all I can do is not to react on anything that person wants to say because, it will definitely make the whole situation more worse. I've learned to listen to other people's view even if it is out of the line and completely insane ~ I still understand. I mean, if he/she is loving his trouble making attitude and psychotic self then its her/his lost. Most of the time I respond in a positive way or I don't react negatively on whatever that person will say. Bullies don't like it when you don't react much, they love it when you poke them back and start some fight. Happy lotting!

i have a friend like that. he s overacting all the time. at first we thought it s just for the girls cuz whenever girls are around he just overacts everything like his walk, the way he talks, etc. but it wasnt. it s like everytime we meet he s like that. and often times it gets him into trouble and that s where the drama begins.
