Who fired the shot heard 'round the world?

The American Revolutionary War was sparked by a single shot that was fired by either Americans or Brits. Any ideas?

I heard something about this on the History channel show... They say no one really knows who shot it. And they think it was a non-military person like a hunter or farmer near the area and of course each side thought it was the other so the war began.
