3D Modelling

Hi guys, Have any of you ever tried 3D Modelling? I use a program called 3D Studio Max. I have been using it since about 2004 on and off and I have really stuck to it. I have never really tried the other 3D Modelling programs out there like Maya and the now very popular Google Sketchup. If any of you have tried these other types of 3D Modelling programs maybe you could inform me of what you think of them, as maybe I shall give them a try some day. I like 3DS Max because it has great rendering abilities and a straight forward user interface once you get used to it. The viewports are very nice also.
