Guns and Americans.

Not meaning to be disrespectful to anyone, but why on earth are Americans allowed to have guns? :\
I mean, judging by the amount of school-shootings and what with all the talk about Mexican drug-cartels and gun smuggling out there, I get confused about why the third (?) amendment allowed for that at all :\

Because our forefathers saw the potential of an unarmed society. They put this in our Constitution, at the front even. We utilize our arms for hunting food, protecting ourselves and our property and to ensure that we do not become a dictatorship.
Americans take their rights very seriously, as we should. With this right is alos the right NOT to own one.

Americans believe in freedom , while i think another thing is that they can't really control its citizens to give up their arms , after all there are lots of thugs and resident have to use it for self protection
