the ancient temple of borobudur is one as well as the ancient temple of prambanan. they are both in yogyakarta (sometimes spelled jogjakarta or jogja for short) in indonesia. i wonder how these magnificent buildings were built, centuries ago, without modern machines.

Hi razim,
You can find a historical places when you visit Malacca. It is a place full of history since its found in by Parameswara then then become a great trading port until it was conquered by Portugis in 1515. The stories never end until Malaysia was founded in 1957. It is a great place. You can go to St Paul Hill there. I do not know exactly the name of the Hang Tuah tomb but it is along the road to Teluk Belanga from Malacca town. They have a signboard to this tomb.
Penang also have a lot of monument especially around Padang Kota Lama. This is the fortress that used by Englishmen to depend their port and ships from the Malay Ruler and pirates.
Johor also has a lot of historical areas especially around Kota Tinggi. They have a tomb for Sultan Mahmud or famously know as "Sultan mangkat dijulang".

I have found the Ciudad de Mexico, of all the cities I know, is the one that hasbuildings of different times in history. They have ruins of ancient temples and piramids, they have palaces, beautiful cathedrals and new skyscrapers. It is very unusual to find all that in the same city. Besides, Ciudad de Mexico is the biggest city in the world. As it was a viceroy place, it has colonial riches that are not usual in other cities.

Go to Corregidor Island, Philippines. The whole island plays a great part in the history of World War II. Go on tour of the island and the tour guide can give you very interesting information. And the place is full of beautiful ruins.
