Here in India this is the exam time. Some of us are parents, teachers and students.I am a parent of two kids and I am keenly observing how they are studying.
But I never used to pressurise them to study. I left it to them. My children are attending the exams without any tensions and they are as cool as any other school days. So how you are with your children at the time of exams. If you are a teacher what will be your approach to the students at the time of exams.
If you are a student, how you are preparing for the exams and how your parents and teachers are behaving with you.

Hello as a retired professor my advise is, read and labor hard from the beginning of the academic year, at least 3 hours in early morning and 3 hours in the evening, no need to read till late hours, you can watch tv for an hour while taking your supper, i think this helps, no need to get over strained during the days of exams
Happy posting, cheers

When I was a student I began revising six weeks before the exams. I read through my class notes and wrote out the main ideas. I sometimes taped me talking about the material I had to learn. I found Science boring so I wrote in on a poster then put it on my wall. Every evening I read it through.
My teenage son is studying and he does well in his exams. He revises a little but he remembers the lectures exactly. My son stays cool headed before an exam begins. He feels excited when the results come through.

Well,in China there is a very important exam called "gaokao" and it's actually a college entrance examination. Most of the students in China will take part in this exam. It's holdon on June 7 and 8.I took the exam three years ago and now I can still have a deep impression on it.I prepared a lot of things and did a lot of works and so as the teachers and my parents. Before the exams,we all feel anxious. But when I entered the examination room I forgot the tension, but my parents and my teachers still couldn't calm down. That's sounds some incredible. I will never forget this experience.
