Does Earth Hour really counts to save the earth?

Earth hour is an activity in which the whole world will turn off their lights at a given period of time. But here in our country this kind of activity is not being applied by all the people here. I believe that earth hour will really help us because less use of energy will reduce green house gases and lessen the global warming. I will not say that the global warming will disappear but participating in the idea of turning all of earth's light for one hour will greatly delay the increase of global warming. I hope we people don't take it for granted.
