This is a book that needs to be read by every christian to gain another perspective about the largest and the most popular religion in the world. The book is not against christianity as such but just raises a lot of questions about the religion which might be intresting to explore...

The Best book to read is the BIBLE.The Bible is the one and only book on earth that carries with it an authority and aunthentication not coming from any human person, but from somebody whose knowledge is above nature and humans. this person is GOD

i beg to disagree on that Bible was never communicated directly from the heavens to us, it is a book that has been compiled from many gospels written by various persons who lived at the time of christ, it is more a historical account of the various things as seen by followers of christ.
The interesting thing to note is the many gospels which proved christ to be mortal were omitted when the bible was being written....some questions arise as to why that happened......

If you accept the premise of the book that there is a living blood line from Jesus, it would be hard to accept Jesus as divine. The idea that Jesus could be both God and father of earthly child sound more like Greek mythology. Now I do not have a problem with the premise because I do not accept that Jesus was divine, but it is one of those why do I care.

it can be seen as why do i care but it is an intresting premise which can be explored as christianity has been more about a one sided story that has been told and it is not really believable, so hearing the other view point can be good and sounds more possible than the more popular version that is avaialble "The Bible"

Read it a long time ago it has very little backing in it . I think Conspiracy theorist like Alex Jones has more backing than this book does. It was also what spurred the book by Dan Brown The Da Vinci Code, he uses the authors of that book as a character in his (scrambling their names). Instead of reading fictional work I would suggest the Nag hummadi for a christian that would like to gain more understanding.
