Well, looky here! Some nutjob has invited Bill Ayers, Obama's unoffical advisor and ghostwriter, to give a speech about 'social justice'. What does this guy know about social justice? He tried to blow up the Pentagon years ago, and had a hand in killing a cop as well. It creeps me out to know this guy is advising Obama. Go to Laramieboomerang.com to get the story, as it won't allow me to link. Gathering from a lot of the comments, lol, The University isn't going to get any money from alumni.

He's earlier than my time.

Is this the Bill Ayers you are referring to as a "cop killer"? He was never actually convicted from what I read. I have the movie Weather: Underground, but I haven't watched it yet.
From what I read on this wikipedia page, Ayers was arrested for a picket line in front of a pizzeria that wouldn't seat African Americans.
I also read that he was highly active in the protest against Vietnam, where our soldiers killed people by the masses, and our use of Agent Orange has resulted in 50,000 birth defects and hundreds of thousands of cancers for the Vietnamese, and the US soldiers involved.
From what I read, the explosions were never intended to harm people, only things and statues of significant and ill meaning.
He fought for social justice, and did jail time for social justice, which would explain why people want him to make a speech about it.

You are indeed a sad person if you think Wikipedia is an accurate source of information. Maybe imagination, but not information, lol! Wow! 'The explosions were only to harm statues and things!' Whoot! Why don't you go to the library and find out about the real Bill Ayers? Anybody, and I mean Anybody, can edit Wikipedia. My brother got his azz chewed recently by his college professor for using some footnotes attributed to Wikipedia. So try harder.

Is he the so-called terrorist that Obama allegedly had involvement with as an 8 year old?

It amazes me that America allows someone like this go around without punishment.
And it's more than the usual crap about not agreeing with someone. This guy is an unrepentant murdering terrorist!
His idea of dissent was to plant bombs and blow people and property sky high. His idea of "social justice" is to bomb your way to the top, take over anything you disagree with by force, and always blame someone else for your own sociopathic behavior. It's "the man, the man!"
We live in a strange land, I must say.
I'm not 100% sure on this, so if there are any Canadians in the house, feel free to set me straight. But I bet universities up there would let this guy speak while keeping Ann Coulter out for JOKING about Muslims.
That's unrelated since it's Canada, but I had to make the comparison.
The problem is that we have too many people in America who either agree with Ayers or simply feel that it wasn't a big deal or that it was too long ago to care about.
If this guy was bombing black churches, do you think he'd be speaking at universities?
I smell a David Duke comparison coming. Not that I'm a fan of that bozo, either (and I cannot BELIEVE he was elected to be a state Representative!), but, as racist as the moron was to join the KKK, he was still actually trying to reform the racist idiots and get them to STOP things like bombing!
Ayers deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison. Instead, he lives among far-left schmucks who constantly reward him for his efforts.

Thanks for your reply, materfish. I wonder how much money he's getting for this speech? I feel anymore like I'm living on Bizarro World, where everything is backward now.

I feel the same! I'm all the time saying that I think I'm the only sane person left in the world.
The last Bill Ayers argument I got into was turned around and I was somehow labeled a racist for daring to mention Ayers' and Obama's name in the same sentence. Never mind that the guy IS a friggin' terrorist. That didn't matter. I was worse. I was scum of the Earth because my opinion is that people with such radical connections are not cut out to be America's President. Find another candidate among the 300 MILLION people that live here. One is bound to have a clean past, ffs. Or at least no ties to radicals.
And as you're well aware, those types of radicals have an open door at the White House. The SEIU bozo visits regularly. The stimulus was outsourced to Ayers' partner in crime!
HELP! FOR THE LOVE OF PETE!
What is wrong with people!?
We're the bad ones for calling attention to it.
I hope in a small way that Ayers is getting paid for this. Maybe he'll forget to file taxes and they'll put his azz in jail. (Not while Obama's president, for sure, but maybe eventually!)

Ann Coulter, the most hateful she-beast on earth makes a minimum of $20,000 per event.

I read the article....
then the comments! Lmao
my two favorites are -
Ayers takes pride in stomping on the American Flag and what it stands for, while America's troops fight and die for the freedom that allows him to do so. He is outspoken, admittedly unrepentant and unabashed about his past domestic terrorism. Welcoming Ayers to UW to speak on moral commitment and ethical action is akin to inviting Tiger Woods and John Edwards to lead a panel discussion on the virtues of marital fidelity, or welcoming John Wayne Gacy (another prominent Illinois figure from the ‘70s) to speak on youth outreach programs. "
&
Bill Ayers is a "distinguished professor of education "? You have got to kidding me! He is a terrorist! What's next a class on prison pottery with distinguished psycho Charles Manson?

I go to Millersville University of Pennsylvania, and Bill Ayers came here to speak last year. There was an increased police presence, and even a letter sent out to all of the parents, which greatly surprised me. Mr. Ayers wasn't here to talk about his past, or anything associated with it. I don't believe he came here to speak about social justice, so there may be more of an uproar at U. Wyoming because of the topic.
