My cat can open drawers and he would also be able to open the doors in my place accept the door nobs are much to tall for him,and I dont think he has the courage to jump on the nob and open them. anyway I have a special drawer in my place where I keep all my cats smallest and favorite toys, and my cat figured out how to open the drawer to get his toys out. But the thing is I sealed the drawer to prevent my cat from getting his toys out during bed time but some how he still gets it open and pulls out his toys my goodness he really is the smartest cat I ever had so far. Can you cat open dificult things when there closed?

Moomin is quite the expert at opening the refrigerator door, so much so that we finally switched things around in the kitchen so he couldn't reach the door any longer. He can also open the bottom drawer in my living room unit, usually by getting behind the unit and pushing the drawer out. He can open the doors simply by jumping up and hanging on the door knob until it opens, not always so clever when you forget to lock the bathroom door - lol

my cat opens cupboards to snoop in it as well as under the sink. i have seen him jump on on door knob and try to twist it. he even put his paw in the window by the screen, and i decided to shut the window because i dont trust him. if animals want something, they will find a way to get it somehow. my late shihtzus used to jump high.

You sure are lucky to have such a smart cat. Just love him and maybe put child locks on those things you don't want him in. LOL :)

My brother once brought a cat that was abandoned by the circus. At first she seemed like a normal cat, until we started opening doors, stand on her two feet for sometime and opening the refrigerator door (which was a big problem, not only for the food there but also that she left it open). Later on she tried to jump from the balcony a couple of times =D And we live on the fourth floor. We caught her of course but later on had to set her free because she became very wild and agressive... :(

My one cat we jokingly call Houdini. I swear he can open things I never thought he could. He's always getting this one closet door open and I'll find him sleeping on the stack of jeans I keep in the bottom corner (and getting them all hairy lol.) Then a couple of times he got this one drawer open, I would have liked to see how he did that! On the bottom cupboard doors in the kitchen, I have to now keep one of those wide rubber bands around the handles to keep him out. (Those big rubber bands they use to hold broccoli together haha) I also had to change what I keep the cat and dog food in because he found if he nosed it enough he could eventually pop the lid off. This cat doesn't play with cat toys, but seems somehow to enjoy things I'd rather he not get into. Some cats are far more clever than we can give them credit for!

yes..you have to keep a particular eye on my oldest-a multi-toed cat. all his extra toes work unlike some, and he can get about anything open. i have "baby locks" on some of my cabinets to keep him in particular out. his favorite thing is stuff closed with velcro.he opened a toy mousie to get the catnip out for himself.

my parents have a white cat, live with them almost 12 yrs. and she is getting older but she moves quickly all the time when there are lots of delicious food...she is very smart: she can open the door to go outside for playing...and also just like your cat can open the drawer to find food to eat... i like her very much

But do you wonder how active and clever they are.. just like human they do all things. I love my pup for all his naughty things. I think they are highly intelligent than us!

My cat can open the bread bin and the toaster oven door. Does that count?
