Hello there Aryann!!!Believe me..yours is not nothing compared to mine...My menstrual period comes once every 3 months only,i have checked this with an Oby-gyne but there's nothing wrong with me,no hormonal imbalance & after series of examination,i seem to be normal. They have told me as well that when i deliver my baby it will be normal but when i did,it's still the same.Yours is somewhat normal since it's coming end of the month thus it continues to the next month...try to count 28 days from the last day of your menstruation & see whether your next menstruation count is correct & if not try to check with an Oby-gynecologist just to make sure that everything is okay but i assure you....it is...so don't worry about it...

hello again..there are certain things that we don't have any controls..like this one for example..there are certain things that would trigger one cycle to change...like stress....emotional changes...anything...& if your body is fine & not having any changes or you don't feel somewhat different...there's nothing to worry but just to make sure...you can go to an oby-gynecologist for some advise...

When did you start your periods if you don't mind me asking?
It takes a little while for a woman's menstrual cycles to even out. Mine has been very crazy though and I started mine at 14 and I'm now 22. I've had them heavy, light, not at all for months, almost all month if not all month for months... You have nothing to worry about, in fact the more you worry it could affect you.
There are a lot of things that can cause a period to be irregular, sometimes it's diet, exercise, sports, sometime's it's overweight etc. They say if a girl is really active (sports) she won't have her period as often.

yes most likely it is just due to stress. College is hard or so I've heard, and so the stress of all the assignments etc is probably the cause of your irregularity, even being more active in sports can cause a woman's period to be irregular.

I started my menstruation when i was in grade 6, so you see it started early and it started as an irregular. But when i reached first year college it turn out to be regular but now its turning irregular again and i don't know why. I asked my mom if i should see a doctor but she said that its just normal for a teenager like me.

hiyee. like they said there are different factors that can affect your period. if you're really worried maybe you can have yourself checked by an OBGYN just to be sure. it never hurts to ask, at least your worries and your questions will be answered.

Hello, it often happen to every girls, it is not unormal, maybe you just need to eat more balanced foods, my mother say that people can have delay in their periods if they eat in a bad way, just eat more red meat, she said to me.
Myself, my periods is always in late, 20january, 26 february, not aby period for this March month.
In the past, i didn't get my periods for 3 months and then, it become normal, i have them every months but sometimes in late, sometimes in advance.
It is not bad, but if you have them late, sometimes, you get stomach pain.

Your best bet is to go to an Ob-Gyn. Although you're not doing anything to cause your irregular menstrual period, it would be healthy for you to get a doctor's opinion on things. I need to go to the OB myself. After 16 years of being regular, all of a sudden, my cycle went haywire. I'd have my period at the beginning of the month. After 2 weeks of being period free, i suddenly bleed again, spotting, sometimes, going the whole period for an entire week. (I Usually have my period for about 5 days). And then there was a month, when I had my period for 2 weeks straight, when I just finished my period 2 weeks ago. This just started at the beginning of the year. I'm afraid it might be something scary. I hope it's nothing serious.

I’m sure most of us girls have had our own share of problems with our menstrual cycle and you are no different. So while there is nothing to worry, you’d better visit a gyn for a detailed and expert opinion. We can all share our experiences with you, but you shouldn’t really rely on us about assuaging your fears…visit to the doctor should be your immediate priority.

When I was little my mum had told me when my period is not regular is because of the things I take. So every now and then after my period finish I had 5-10 chinese red dates everyday for 10 days. After a few months I was fine with it. And it never delay once.

Hello Aryann0916,
I was the same way and it normal for your period to do this. Sometimes I get mine early and other times later. I am 44 years old and now sometimes I get twice a month because my daughter who is 18 is haveing her period too. So this makes a lot harder for me to keep track of time. I would not worry unless you do not get for 3 months like my oldest daughter did. She was like 17 like you learning how to drive, finals and test and activities after school. It finally came and she been regular every since. It had to do the pressure she was under. I did take her to the doctors and lady doctor said this happen to her daughter too and wanted to wait another month when everything in her life was not a pressure cooker. Sure enough it came.
Thanks and have a great day!
Have a Great Easter weekend!
Sincerely Unique16

Some people might have irregular periods all of their life, like it happened to me, but if you're worried you should visit a gynecologist to see if you might have some hormonal problem. To have regular periods you can start taking the pill, as it regulates your periods making them always exactly 28 days.

Hi Aryann,
I suggest that you ask for an assistance of an Ob-Gyne. There re various reasons your cycle is not yet regular. When was the first time you ever had your menstruation. According to my Ob- Gyne its sometimes normal for teens not to have a regular menstruation especially if it has started late. It could be that your body is still adjusting.
However, it is still best to seek for an advice of someone professional or more knowledgeable in terms of this. Girls even at an early age should have a regular check- up with an Ob-Gyne. I have no reproductive problem but I go to my OB every month for regular check- up including regular urinalysis.

I would advice you to see the doctor. Maybe it's still normal to have not a regular periods, because of your age. Or may be you have some hormonal problems. If the second one is the case, then the doc could give you a treatment or may decide that it's better to leave the things like that for now. But I think it's important to know if everything is OK in case you decide to get pregnant.
My periods are very irregular. A cycle can be from 35 to 57 days and I never have idea when it will come. When I said that to my doctor he said that I have amenorea due to a hormonal disbalance. So I paid much attention at my cycle and had some hormones when I was trying to convince.

I only get mine about three times a year. Really I dont mind it because then I never have to think about it and I only have to deal with it a few times. But when I do have to face it and deal with the big red monster, whoa, do I have to deal with it. I get a three day blood flow of thick, nonstop blood. My doctors say this isnt normal but im okay. Im supose to take birth control every day but choose not to. Its just simply a personal choice. I take those few days off every time because it's actually quite impossible for me to go to school and work like this. Im in it right now so this discussion came at a great time. Goodluck with your issue and I suggest seeing a doctor if it dosnt come soon.
