I am not sure about my I.Q of intelengence, i suppose high, because i like to learn new things, and i have been a student with good grades. I don't know why but i never do this I.Q. test, maybe i will in the future, and i think is not relevant to my live, what you think ? If you have done this test and it revealed that you have a low I.Q., what was your reaction, you were suprised or you were expected of the result ? I think that the lowers results could be lack of attencion or misunderstanding of some questions. And if it reveals that you have some high results, you reaction is happiness or sadness ? I think i would happiness. :)

Good grades and IQ are not related.......Bobby Fischer was world chess champion in 1973 had an IQ of 170 but wasnt good in studies

I took an IQ test from highiqsociety.org last month, and the result was 125. I am pretty happy with that, but I am not choosing a profession that deals with a lot of of technicalities and all that.

Maybe one I.Q. test isnt' enought, i think you need to do several tests in diferent occasions. Why you did the test in the internet ? is more economic to you, with better results? Nice, keep posting.

I have never done this type of test and really see no need to. I learn what I am interested in and do not really care if other people can learn things faster or slower than me. I know that I am successful in life and that is all that matters to me! I think that if someone took one of those tests and it showed them to be below the standard level, then this could lead to depression. Also if someone got really good marks in the test, then this could lead to an over inflated ego and have them thinking that they are better than everyone else because they are highly intelligent. I think people need to follow their own passions and not worry about things like this.

Good point of view, RawBill1, I fact this tests give to us an subjective idea about our intelligence, and if a person believe this very much it could lead a level of depression or a happiness - but this is an illusion - don't be so cranky, people ! - analize your results and follow your passion and vocation. Good commment.

Hi nunoasl,in fact I don't dare to do the IQ test because I think the result will be too low...I'm really not good at science, especially physics. When I was in middle school,I don't know why my speed of reaction is always slower than others. My parents often say that I am not that clever like my sister, which made me so sad from then on.Now I'm used to the feeling of inferiority...

ohhh, don't be a pessimist person, trust yourself and you will see you are the same as the others persons. We are came from of the same DNA, why you in particulary have to be different from the rest of the people or your family ? - is a wrong idea to assume that - and don't think this to much - this is like 1+1 =2 simply as that ! I am sure that helped ! keep posting

Hi! I just registered to MyLot yesterday. Today, I started reading some posted discussions and this topic caught my interest. I did pass some IQ tests before with flying colors. But that didn't mean I had everything I wanted or excelled in all the activities I engaged into. Like one commented, "it varies depending on the utilization". It provided quite enough self-confidence to me though. It felt good everytime I got high scores. I took a course that entailed a lot of thinking, and yes, graduated with high grades. I often dreamed of becoming a Manager or even the President of a huge corporation after school. (Of course, this was attributed to my young fantasies!) That didn't happen but am still happy I have an excellent family and a job I love. For me, the positive results of the IQ tests I took before gave me the strength to aim high and continue to serve as my rich source of self-esteem up to this time. God bless!

I really don't think I have high IQ and it is only average. But when it comes to certain things in life I can excel unexpectedly. A person with high IQ often are failures in life. This has got nothing to do with their intelligence but the way the lead their life. Their high IQ makes them bored with simple things in life and that is the reason they surrender easily they the find boredom. They lack the sustaining power unlike most average people who strive hard to reach the top.

nice one, zandi458, sometimes in the course of our lifes, we haven't power to manage it, and the more intelligence we have, we couldn't be able to change the route of our life - to better or to worse - is better for the better :) 'The higher one climbs the greater the fall' don't you agree ?

I have done multiple IQ tests but they all seem to give very different results. Every test has it's own measuring scale, so it's hard to compare the results. I think that my IQ must be quite high, because I am doing very well at school and my mental capabilities are not bad.

In our private schools, the students are given IQ tests every year. More or less, we know how our intelligence quotient fair. But of course now they say the EQ is more important than the IQ. And in the recent years, psychologists have come up with 9 intelligences which show that one could be proficient in mathematics but not in sports. My linguistic intelligence is quite good. But my spatial is rather poor. How intelligent am I? IQ is just a measurement. I say we strive to be the best in what makes us happy.

i dont think IQ is important now a days, people with good education tend to have good job and not because they have higher IQ. and people who work hard are tend to be successful in life and not because they have higher IQ. for me, as long as i can think well, and work well and im healthy and i have my family, friends and stable job then i dont care of how my IQ is.

No not as of late I do. I do find it funny that I take different IQ tests and get slightly different results. Which means that measuring a person's intelligence can be a process that would be up for much, much, debate and thus would be rather tricky to nail down. That would account for the varying results. Plus it is all about how the questions on the test is worded as well and how a person interprets them. I think that measuring the intelligence of a person is a sketchy idea at the very best. It is something that is difficult to do, as there is so much criteria to nail down. I really pay no mind to these things. I do know that there are certain things where I feel like I am intelligent at and other things where I am not quite as intelligent at. I do not need a measure to satisfy me but perhaps that is just me.

good point of view, megamatt. i think so, that measure of intelligence is some how subjective and not accurate. it depends in our skills or interests.

Hello, I completely agree with you. Lower IQ level as shown by those tests are often result of lack of attention and misunderstanding the questions. This is why people are recommended to take a few tests from different sources. Lower IQ grades evaluated by certain online sites can not be dependable. I think one should ask a professional when it comes to IQ. Having good grades doesn't necessarily suggests that one has a great IQ. It is extremely difficult to defeat a person, who has an IQ of 150, in chess. In most of the cases I have seen the the average IQ is 100-120 which means they are quite intelligent and can comprehend new ideas quite quickly. It is normal. IQ usually remains fixed in one's lifetime. Even with varied mental exercise it varies a little. What really varies is the utilization of that intelligence. We often fail to focus in a certain thing for a long time, which if allowed for long makes it even worse. IQ is a bliss, but its utilization is a skill that needs constant practice. God bless you

yes, we must do several test before we can cross a conclusive answer. Is better speaking with a professional about this matter. By the way, i like play chess, and requires also a bit of tranning, as like doing maths problems, if you don't think then anymore is more dificult to aquire the same skill again. Nevertheless If you don't use our inlelligence, we will eventualy lose it. Good thinking, getbiswa2000.

Well, i always knew my I.Q was moderate. I tried many times at school levels to work on areas i lack knowledge, especially politics, sports. I have tried to take online I.Q test, but i never go low or very high, its medium. So i feel better but still have to improve to feel satisfied.

When I was younger I used to overachieve on my standardize tests and everyone assumed I was smart but everything came natural to me. As I got older I got use to learning everything so fast so I became less focus in school and my grades starting slipping. I tried to take an IQ test online the other day actually but it wanted me to pay for my results. I think some people are naturally book smart and some people are street smart. I mean I work with someone who is so smart but when it comes to realistic things and he is absoutely clueless..

Hi friend, let me first tell you tht these IQ tests are not very realistic as far as results are concerned. I have taken such test once or twice in past and the result was good enough to bring smile on my face. Having said that, i would like to tell, that these IQ tests have typical type of questions, If you do them without practice, you score less, if you do them after practice, you end up scoring more. So may be first time we fail to understand Question in such test and end up answering wrong. These Questions are mostly based on logic discipline and i do not believe that logic can be the only bases for judging anyone's intelligence. DO not give too much importance to what you get as your IQ. I have also taken EQ tests and results achieved were in line with my emotional setup. Happy Mylotting

good remark, common_man. Yes, i think this tests are a bit of subjctive because they need practice on some skill..., but the idea is to do this test by suprised, without people training whatsoever, if they train will corrupt the final results, what you think ?
