Hi friends! One of my friend's wife says to him that he takes more than normal time in bathing or shaving or may be both. My friend feels that time could vary from person to person and he takes normal time in these activities. I would like to know from you guys, those who are men - how much average time do yo take to take bath and for shaving your beard? Do you feel that time taken by you is normal? And for my women users - I would like to know do you know or notice discreetly how much time is usually taken by your husband/partner/boy friend for bathing and for shaving and if any of you feel that your partner/husband/boy friend takes more than usual/average time for bathing/shaving, do you point it out to him. Please share your views. Thanks in advance.

Hahaha...poor wife! What about your wife deepak? If you ask me, I am quite flexible which means I can stretch in and stretch out my refreshment time as and when required. On office hours I would make it as short as possible for I always kind of run out of time. In the evenings, after returning I just plunge in the lavishes that's going to make me charged for the rest part of the day and also the following day.

Hello Mimpi! Nice to see you and many thanks for kick starting the discussion. You know about my better half, please do not ask the obvious.............lol I know it that in the morning, when we are in hurry and need to get ready for our work place as quickly as possible and in that case, we will just squeeze our time for bathing. It is always better to indulge lavishly in the evenings, when one is at home and no pressure of leaving home early. As you and I know, summer season has started and it is fun to to take bath in cool water and to beunder the shower to rejuvenate and recharge ourselves. Have a great day! Deepak

Absolutely Deepak! And if I may add, I have long sessions of shower and associated stuffs, like pedicure, manicure, waxing and foot spa during bath on Sundays. That's the only day that I get to stretch out time as I wish. However, when my mom waits for me to eat with me in the afternoon I feel bad for by then the sun has mellowed down.

Hi mimpi! Going for long sessions of showers and drenching oneself under water when weather is hot and humid gives us lots of relief and enjoyment. It is great to know that you utilise your Sundays and spend considerable time in bathroom, doing pedicure to spa to pamper yourself. Hope on Mondays, when you leave for your work place, you look gorgeous and beautiful because of your Sunday exercise (smiling). Great day! Deepak

What my guy does in the bathroom is none of my business. It is his private time . I know my guy Needs time alone, away from me. I agree with your friend. Washing up time varies from person to person. Why would a wife or partner be upset about bathing time? I assume they have been living together for a long time. I can see the first time mnoticing how long it takes but from the on I would assume that's his normal time. If they need to get somewhere quickly, just tell him you ned to leave 30 minutes ahead of the True time and then he will be on time!

Hello Sarah! Yours appear to be very logical and thoughtful answer and I appreciate it. I agree with you that everyone has its own style of shaving and bathing and time taken may differ and if shaving is done in a hurry, it can leave cuts and nicks on one's face. Thanks very much for enriching the post. It is always heartening to read your interesting responses and you invariably joins me in my posts. Deepak

Hmmm...I don't know what the average is. But my husband doesn't take too long for bathing and shaving. He hates wasting time and he tries to finish these quickly. I've never found him taking too much time in these activities (sometimes I wish he would...especially when the shaving isn't neat enough..lol) So, I've never had to point it out to him.

Hello SV! Nice to see you after long time in my discussion (I know it that you have responded to some of my earlier ones and I have not posted my comments on your responses, as yet). It is good that your hubby knows the importance of time and he does not allow you to think that he takes normal time than the usual. You see some of the men get fed up by shaving their faces everyday, so if once in a while, you hubby's shave is not neat enough, you can excuse him..........lol! Have a great day! How is life. Deepak

Hey dpk! What a great question! My boyfriend takes at least three times longer than anyone I know when he is doing his "bathing routine"! He takes longer than any woman I know! He uses lotions and potions and fixes his hair and everything has to be done just perfectly! I have to usually throw him out of the bathroom to get in there because he takes so long!lol He loves to groom himself! I shouldn't complain because he always is so clean and smells so wonderful, but he just takes an incredibly long time to do it!

Hello Ck! I believe that you are very large and open hearted and you are benevolent, that is why you can allow him to spend time even for a full day in bathroom........lol! It is good that he takes average time and he knows how much time he should spend in the bathroom. I appreciate that you allow him his private moments in bathroom and do not get angry on her.. How are you doing? Have a great day! Deepak

Hi sweetie. Missed you. Did you get lost or something? Well, as everyone knows, women are the masters when it comes to bathing and shaving. Men just take too long, don't you agree? My partner will be in there for at least an hour. Really, what are you doing in there that take so long?? And asking about it. No naswer as usual. TATA.

Hello sap! I did not get lost. I am very much here and alive. I won't agree with you that men take longer time than woman. It varies from person to person, irrespective of one's gender. One hour is pretty long time. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Deepak

shave and bath - The time usually depends person to person...
Hello there, Good Afternoon, I think that the person (your friend) is absolutely right time vary from person to person some person just take few minutes to shave and bath and some take a lot of time. Well i do have live example if you compare the time i take to shave and bath and my father take to shave and bath you might not see a big difference but if you separate the two thing individually you will see a good difference he takes to shave and a in comparison to him i take a very little time but if you talk about bath he is very fast he just takes around 3 to 5 minutes () to bath and i take just double time as he. So i think that every person take his/her own time to complete the task they have to even if you talk about the work that a maid do and when the same work is done by any family member you will see a great time difference. It just depend on person to person the time he/she take to complete the same task. Hope i made point clear to you.

Hello dear! You are right that the same job would be performed by two different persons in different span of time and there is no set formula for the same. I think, if we are in a hurry, we should speed up our shaving and bathing and if we have time (say on weekends) we could spend few minutes more on these activities. Thanks for sharing and joining us.

Hi Deepak! Good morning. I have never noticed this bathing time so far in my life.Shaving is doee in some 3 to 5 minutes by my son and this I happened to notice as he told me one day that I could get his tea ready because it would take only that much time. You know very well how my house runs smoothly without anyone breathing down another's neck. So, my duty would only be to inform the menfolk about the time I would be serving lunch or breakfast and here too some time this way that way would happen on either side. But apart form this I have never pointed out-as I said earlier I have not taken much notice of this.Even , on the occasional time when I had made some coffee and my husaband had gone in I would just keep it hot for him and thta is all.Normally, my husband does not appreciate if anyone asks him when he would finish or simialr questions--he would immediately ask "what is your problem?" .I know he gets irritated if someone does that.So , I would keep quiet and maintain peace at home. After all, it is up to each individual.

Generally I do not notice what other people do Deepak!I will be immersed in my activity and though I am termed a dreamer and a bird by my folks[they are happy with my attitude because I NEVER would go their way]thsi has given me peace and happiness all these years.I should have the wisdom to continue doing it.I pray to God for this.

Hi Kala!Good Afternoon! It is good that you did not get to notice your family member's bathing time (read male members) noticing the same would not have made your life happier........lol! Your son appears pretty fast in shaving if does within 5 minutes (I take more 5-7 minutes). I think if no one breaths down another's neck in your house, the atmosphere remains cool and calm. (Smiling) You know it very well how not to ask irritating questions to your family members and how to maintain cool. Many thanks for enriching the post. Deepak

Hi deepak, I don’t mind if my hubby takes more time for his shaving and bathing. But when he gets late for office then ask me to help ‘to give me that, take that etc; I will get angry. He always need more time for each work. I agree he is perfect with each work. But I can’t encourage spending much time for particular things and getting late for office. I think the waste of time can be avoidable.

The only time I worry about anyone spending too much time in the bathroom is when I have to go to work. I have not had any problem with the men I have lived with all my life...father / brother / husband / son.... they have always spent the minimum time in the bathroom....only problem I have once had was with my sister....she would always take a very long time an I would get up early in the morning to make sure I utilized the bathroom before her.

Hi, dpk262006. With my husband he takes about 25 minutes or so to shave. I think that is a reasonable time because it takes me about 45 minutes to shave as well. When he takes long I don't say anything to him. Just as long as the bathroom is free, I am okay with how long he shaves while in the bathroom.

My husband is definitely ‘low maintenance’ I think, because for him 15 minutes to shower and shave is a long time! He is usually very quick whereas I take a little longer like half an hour or so to shower and change. Keep in mind that my shower time includes cleaning up the bathroom!

Hi Deepak, For me I would say more than an hours if I am bathing in a relaxing mood. If you want to relax even more and really alleviate the day’s stress, add aromatherapy bath salts. Infused with scents, these stimulate calmness, generating even further relaxation. Normally, it takes just 15 mins. Well, the water should not feel hot nor redden the skin because hot water dries skin. Dry, irritated skin can cause a flare-up and worsen existing eczema. My husband too bath in a relaxing mood. Minimum 15 minutes and maximum goes all more, more than an hours... Thanks.

Hi Aira! I feel you know how to groom and pamper yourself and bathing for full one hour shows that you enjoy yourself and when you come out, you feel recharged and rejuvenated. Aromatherapy and scents can enhance the pleasure of bathing. Your husband also knows how to enjoy bath. Thanks for your contribution.

Hi Deepak, I guess my hubby takes the normal time (read that as ‘quick) for shaving and bathing coz we still have peace at home in the morning rush hours and we both leave for office at the same time in good mood LOL But frankly speaking I feel sorry for guys as they have to shave almost regularly! What a bother…at least clean shaven guys can still do it fast but for those who have to trim their moustaches and beards…I can understand them taking longer than usual. How long do you take???

Hi Sudipta! I think your hubby is a practical in life and he knows the importance of time and may be he is afraid of your bashing, therefore, he finishes his saving/bathing quickly.........lol! OH! Thanks for much for feeling sorry for the guys, who needs to shave regularly. I am the one for which you can feel sorry because I will invariably go for shaving my beard as I feel lousy, if I do not shave and moreover, my shaved face helps me look more handsome handsome To your question, I normally take 5-7 minutes in shaving and approximately 10 minutes in bathing. Have a nice day! Deepak

I can be up, washed and dressed in 10 minutes in the morning, my partner on the other hand, takes ages in the bathroom. There are times when it drives me nuts, as I am waiting around while he gets ready to go out.

My boyfriend definitely takes longer than normal when showering! He is very clean and makes sure he washes himself twice over. He washes his hair and exfoliates with the loofah. I would say that he spends an average of 25-30 minutes every night in the shower. I only take about 10-15 minutes but I like to be in and out quickly.

Well, just like woman takes time for dressing. Shaving is like dressing for man. He enjoys by taking his own time in front of the mirror. My wife never disturbs me rather she helps me to do and give her suggestions. Bathing ofcourse yes , she may point out as i will be falling time to office and then at last moment, i would hurry myself.

Well i always shave right after i took a bath. And it just takes me around 15-20 minutes to do both. Im taking my time shaving because im afraid of hurting myself if i push myself to be fast when it comes to working with razors ;) And i try my best to enjoy my bath time.Thats the only time i get to pamper myself thats why i want to cherish every minute that i have when taking a bath ;)
