Ear Mites in Cats

I have three cats and need to get rid of ear mites. They all have them of course, and after I get rid of them they will spread again if I don't get rid of all of them in all the cats at the same time. I do not want to use a store bought commercial brand medicine ear drop because of all the harsh chemicals, the ammonia burns their ears really bad. I am looking for a homeopathic natural solution. I do realize that anything we come up with will most likely have to be dropped in their ears, and that's never fun to deal with, but at least it won't burn and they won't hate me. :) Does anyone have any ideas?

If it is going to kill the ear mite it is going to burn. The store bought ear mite medicines are made with pyrithrins (which are natural plant parts) that are designed for killing insects. They are not nearly as harsh as what you may think. The problem is you do need to get the ear mites under control or it could lead to hearing loss in your cats.

Thanks for the information. I'm doing some more research on the store bought brands, I did not know about the pyrithrins used and that they are natural plant parts. You also made me feel less hesitant to purchase a store bought brand. Thank you very much!
