If you respond to the same discussion then it won't increase. And your responses might get deleted because the discussion got deleted etc.
But if you think, that is not the case, and yet your responses are not showing up in the bracket in front of your MyLot username, then it must be some bug. Wait and see whether it gets corrected. Or contact MyLot Admin about this issue.
Happy Mylotting!

There's no need to contact admin about it.
A full understanding of how the User Rating (not a "post count") works eliminates the need for panic. True?

Hi Alice!
Thanks for clearing this doubt! What we observed is that whenever we post a new response or comment on a discussion, usually the one number adds up. So by mistake I too thought that it is the number of posts on unique discussions.
Now I got it clearly.
Have a nice time!

I think sometimes, your comments on someone's response does not count towards your post count. So if you have been commenting on people's responses, it may be the reason why. It's not a good sign. Try to response to the topic instead of other people's response.

That's why it isn't called a post count. That number is known as your myLot User Rating. You can read more about it here: www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx

So that explains why the number beside my username is not the same with the number of posts i made.

ava152007, the number to the right of your username is NOT a post count. It's known as the myLot user rating. It represents activity, not the total number of posts. We have no such thing as a post count at myLot.

I keep encouraging it! I've also been encouraging teaching members how to fish rather than just doling out fish willy-nilly.
