This is the notification I received when I checked my myLot profile after a long gap - engagement in other affairs is my primary reason to get aloof from myLot; but I would never forget tremendous support I got from myLot community barring one loose comments I received, when I failed to copy a link (non - affiliate) to my myLot post and expressed my annoyance over 500 post limit; someone from myLot community had doubt with my intention. He responded harshly. That's the only time.
It is not that I have received responses a lot. Rather, I have been a keen reader - learning about how life goes on in different other parts of the globe.
It gave me strength to walk along my avenue, which was at that time totally unknown.
Now I have at least got a foot-mark to follow. I am more relaxed. I am more experienced.
When my age gets displayed against my profile photo - I know it is real, just like the real person I am.
What's the harm in displaying age?
Will you prefer to hide your age? Or, display fabricated age? Or, just let it be there?
Awaiting your answers.

LOL there is no need to hide ones age and gender, but i have seen in some profile the age as 100, and the profile picture looks to me as 20, but i wonder why male members post picture of a cute woman as the avtar
Thanks for this posting, cheers

its up to you if you want to hide it nor show it, i guess its also one thing so that theres equality when it comes to response coz other members might think that the person is too old nor young to post the discussion specially about a very delicate topic. though of course other will check the profile of that person if they found it interesting or curious about the member. anyway, its not really a big deal for me, as i even hide my gender.

My age is visible which I don't mind. I suppose it's sacrificing a bit of privacy, but it does save one from being asked the question. Age is something most people who you see in real life would be able to recognize in a general way so I think online people are naturally curious about it as well. It's also not really personally identifying -- unless you are very old indeed, there are millions of other people in the world (and probably many on myLot as well) who are the same age as you.
