Who's got very long hair? Mine is about halfway down my back so far, and I'm working on growing it longer. It is also very fine so I have to watch for split ends and breakage, but overall it's pretty smooth. Currently I'm doing weekly hot oil treatments along with split end serums daily, as well as metal-free hair ties and clips. What do you do to encourage your very long hair to stay strong?

My hair hangs long and straight down to my waist. It has taken 10 years to get my hair to grow this long, with regular cutting and trimming and using gallons of conditioner. I won't use metal brushes or combs on my hair, nor do I tie it up with metal clips or hair ties. I have a lovely natural bristle brush which I keep exclusively for my hair and when I wash my hair I always use a good quality shampoo and conditioner. The help my hair stay good and strong I have my ends clipped every six to eight weeks, just to get rid of the split ends and to encourage strong growth.

How do you take care of small tangles without breaking it? I get one or two small ones after I shower, and usually lose a couple strands getting it out. I ought to trim mine every couple months too...

I don't have a very long hair. It's just shoulder length. I want it longer but I'm still thinking because I think I look better with shorter hair, but I like long hair! LOL. I can't decide. I don't have weekly treatments or whatsoever. But if I'll have time, maybe, I'll have hot oil treatment.

Hi, beeeckie. I have very long hair too. I am 31 now. When I was in 6th grade, I had about 30 inches of hair. I would be at my seat in class, and I could feel myself sitting on my hair. But now, it is in the middle of my back. I am trying to take great care of my hair too. I salute you in taking care of yours as well. I am not as lazy as I used to be. I make sure that I wash my hair every week. And I massage my scalp about 4 times a week. I love doing this. It feels so great. I moisturize it twice a week. I am actually trying to grow all of my hair back. I would like to have at least 25 inches for the length of my hair. I think that I am at, 16 to 18 inches as of now. Continue to take care of your hair as you are doing.

Hi, beeckie. Well, I wash my hair every week with a growth shampoo. I have been doing this since, four months now. And I love the way that my hair just feels after it is washed. I washed my hair yesterday and I loved it! I don't really know how long my hair is right now. Once I press it with the pressing comb, then I will see how long it is. I think that it may could be about 18 or 19 inches right now. I know that it has grown some because I have been taking care of it. I use an oil on the ends of my hair once a week. And, I grease it with an Herbal hairdress conditioner. I also take a hair vitamin for my hair everyday too.

wow! you're great! I always wonder to someone who are able to keep their hair long. cos frankly, I can't. whereas some of my friends told me that I have a good hair, they suggested me to keep my hair long, but I couldn't. It's hot and so bothering. my best record was only about on shoulder long. and I think to cut it everyday. today, I have very short hair. just like a man. and for me, it makes me comfortable and more confident.

After a while it does get heavy and harder to take care of, especially in the summer. I'm so determined this time to keep it! But I am envious of people like you who can cut it that short and look great. :)
