do you wait until it's for sure you were hired somewhere else so they don't get upset and fire you before you found something or is it better to give them a head up that you are looking for something else cause you are not content with the job or pay that you have?

I would wait, as they could possibly find a replacement for you and find a reason to fire you. Also with the way things are right now, you may be looking for a while and would not want to give them a reason to get rid of you.

Personally, I'd wait until I had my plan B all worked out, and then let them know that I needed another job. I am not going to put what I already have in jeopardy. However, if I already have my plan B covered, and know what I want to do next, I feel i can say, or do whatever I want, because no matter what the boss does, I am safe. If I had pay problems, and had a second job lined up, I would definitely let the boss know that I am leaving this job for that one, because the pay is better. You can't be fired if you already quit.

If I am going to go for another job, I will better make sure that I already have funds in the bank to tide me for at least 6 months. Just in case, the new job don't work out fine. At the same time, I would not be so trigger happy as to tell my bosses.

i will not tell my boss that im looking for new job and its not that they will be upset but its because they might going to kick me out early if they find out. maybe i will just take an excuse nor absent for a day for the interview and once i already got my new job then i will submit my resignation to them, if they will ask then i will just say i need to have a long vacation coz i feel so tired with works already, besides if im already out and they find out about my new job then who cares as im happy with my new job already.

Waiting to tell your employeer is probably best but be super careful in doing so. If you apply for a differnet company, many will often contact your current employeer for reference. You need to make sure that you inform anyone that you are interviewing with that you do not want them to contact your current employeer, as you have not informed them that you are seeking other employment. Most interviewers completely understand and will adbide by your request. The one thing you do not want to happen is to have a company to call your current employeer and start asking questions before you have informed them. This is a sure fire way for them to find a reason to terminate you.
