I'm curious as to how you WWE fans feel about this? My husband watches WWE and therefore I typically pay attention to it somewhat too. I always enjoyed watching Shawn as a part of DX so I guess I can say I'll miss him! How do you feel about his retirement? Do you think we'll see him on some future shows like many of the other retired wrestlers?

I really like shawn michaels. He was one of the best wrestlers in the WWE. Its going to be sad to not see him there anymore however I dont think he will stay retired. i think he will come out of retirement down the road and come back to the WWE. Hes still young and he still has alot in him.

I hope it is not too late for me to respond, I am new to the site. Shawn Michaels has been my favorite wrestler & celebrity for over 14 years. I knew deep down when the match became career vs. streak that this was it, as he has talked about retirement before. I have mixed feelings on his retirement. Of course, it saddened me. As far as the wrestling world goes, sitting through his retirement speech was one of the hardest things I have done, as I have been a fan of this man since I was a little girl. As a wrestling fan, he has been a major part of my life, and the fact that he was not going to be on my television set every Monday night was going to be a hard adjustment. I have been fine so far, as I do have other favorites to keep me happy on Monday nights. But if I told you I didn't miss Shawn like crazy, I would be lying. Then again, I am also happy for him. This man has given his all for us for 20+ years. Through concussions, back injuries, and knee injuries, and even while battling the flu, he has still given 110% every time. This is his time to rest. Rest his body and mind, as I'm sure traveling and being away from home can take a lot out of you. He gets to be home with his wife and children now, and if he is happy and enjoying it, then I'm happy for him. :) I have to admit though, I do hope you're right about him coming out of retirement someday. As long as he wants to anyways. I would be excited to see him back and in my opinion, I bet he'll be just as good then as he always is.

ah shawn michaels retired; surely end of an era. I will nver forget him. But i think it was his decision. He recently fathered a new daughter and after a 25-year illustrous career, shawn michaels needs to look his family. See, WWE is pre-scripted which means shawn michaels had to retire anyway but i liked the way the way it ended . Losing to the Undertaker was not bad too. Last moments of his career were just magical. The phenom, known for his merciless nature over past 2 decades didnt wanted to end the match and then shawn michaels begged for it and undertaker gave him the most vicious tombstone i have evr seen in my life as it was like a final blow of mercy to warrior a warrior whose name was michael shawn Hickenbottom. And then raising shawn michaels, shaking hands and a hug was just a sign of how even the deadman respects the warrior. Surprisingly what made it so special that Both michaels and hart retired on the same night. And shawn michaels farewell and leaving the arena with long time friend Triple H was just so emotional. Hope you a happy life HBK. Thank you very much

I started watching WWE way back when I was like 10 or 11 and thought he was so cute. I did fall of and started watching it on and off but I like Shawn Michaels especially when him and Triple H would get together and form DX. He is kind of older and should stop before he gets a real injury that will mess him up!

To think that in 1998 Shawn Michaels suffered what was at the time thought to be a career ending back injury and indeed, it did keep him on the shelf until 2002. So the fact that we got eight more good years out of Shawn Michaels is pretty good. A performer like Shawn Michaels is someone who you want on your show, because he will always give a performance worth remembering, even if the rest of the card is not as good. I knew his retirement was coming and that is a shame. Right now, there seems to be no one to fill the shoes of Shawn Michaels from a quality standpoint. There are some that come close, but no one could match the overall performance of Shawn Michaels. So his retirement will leave a void on RAW for quite some time. And the fact that the Undertaker might not have too much time left himself in the ring, yep, some people are going to have to really step up. However, I truly think that Shawn Michaels will be back. Maybe not for quite some time, but he will be back. Retirements in wrestling are not forever. Very few wrestlers stay retired and do not come back. I can see Michaels coming back for a special match once or twice a year. Perhaps not any time in 2010, but it will happen. Although, I did snicker at the line he gave when he walked up the ramp at Mania. "My kids will be sick of me in three weeks." For some reason, that made me laugh. Regardless, while we have see the last of Shawn Michaels as a full time competitor, he still has a few more good matches left in him I think and perhaps once a year, for a big match. Only time will tell.

You know I have been watching wrestling since I can remember. I love Shawn Michaels, and I cried when he was giving his farewell speech. I am hoping to see him on other shows and something I think would be fun to watch him on is Dancing with the Stars. I've been watching Shawn Michaels since I was a baby. I am 27 years old and I am going to miss him so much.

This match on Wrestlemania made me really sad. I didn't believe that The Undertaker would really win. Shawn was on the ring for really long time, but so did The Undertaker and even longer. I've been watching WWE shows since 2000 and when I started I didn't know anything about Shawn. Internet was not something that everybody has in his home and I hardly knew the WWE universe. However I had read some things in the magazines and seen some photos about how good athlete he was and some history so I had an idea but not more. Then he returned as a part of nWo in 2002 and this was really big. The crowd went crazy then and I love watching that video. There's so much energy in him like he's 20 again. And he's still looking like that so I didn't believed that he will retire. However I think that he'll made a return someday and maybe a DX reunion? The retirement speech made me really sad and everything was so real. I can't imagine how hard it was for him and not only, it was and for his colleagues and friends. That hug between him and Triple H was just ..I can't find the words - real, real friends - something that you can't always see in this business with all that acting and dramas. I hope will see him someday even a guest appearance, even not for a much just some talk, some fun, maybe a guest referee.

He's been around a really long time and probably has just had his fill, decided to retire and spend time with his family. While ppl will miss him, I'm sure his family will be happy to have him home more often. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I am a huge fan of WWE as are my children. My daughter and I both actually cried when Shawn Michaels was out talking at the end of wrestling and giving his farewell speech. I have been watching Shawn wrestle since I was a child and my children have watched it since they were babies. He will definitely be missed. I am hoping that he will make some appearances on future shows even if it is not to wrestle. I think he was a truly great wrestler and the WWE lost a great competitor with his retirement.
