Would you look for a travel agency or Plan your own overseas trip and book your own air tickets , transport and hotel . Which way would be cheaper ?

First I would asked an travel agency and get some information like, asking all the planes that is going to that particular place that I want to go and all the flights. Once I have all the information, I will book for my own so that I would not pay any additional service charge.

Yes they have all those information so there is no harm asking them in the first hand before booking the flight,. Anyway there is reservation so that would be ok.

I have been to several places and have always taken package tours which I find quite comfortable as they take away the drudgery of making all the arrangements. They are there with you through the whole tour and you feel quite safe and taken care of.

hi!
if the travel is work-related with a strict timetable to follow, plus the fact that the company will pay for it, i would rather have a hassle-free arrangements with the travel agency. i will let them handle all the bookings, changes, itineraries etc.
however if i'm travelling with family and friends, i'd rather hunt fot the best-priced and economically sensible travel options by myself. i'd ask my family/friends/colleagues who have travelled in that country as to where to best stay, and price ranges for transport and tours. it can be a lot of work, but it's worth it if i can save several hundred dollars out of it, especially when travelling with a group.

hello sir_bobby, i have done all that in my 6 decades of living on planet earth. i started off with organised tour by tour agencies. the reason was that i had limited number of leaves as i was working. so the fastest though not the cheapest was tour from tour agencies. it was always twin sharing. so i always had to convinced a girlfriend to go with me. later part of life, i was still working but i had more leave. so i accumulated my leave and went on longer tours overseas . here i managed to plan my tour with careful planning. i surfed the net alot with my friends and families to get better air plan tickets, places to stay, places to visit etc including eating. now that i have retired i tend to go for the free and easy tours. time is mine to spare, thus a free and easy tour suits me best. i realise its not that cheap too. thus again i scout around and i look out for travel fares where fares are cheap and the timing is correct for me to choose. there are many options on the type of travelling to neighbouring countries for vacation , whether by air, land or sea. i find it exciting and i use all three modes of transportation. enjoy sweet life while we can, right, sir_bobby .

well that would depend on your destination and time or month you would want to be in a certain place. Usually for travel agencies they come in with lodging so you don't need to worry about where you'll stay. But there are inexpensive hotels you just need to look around or research for one. as of the ticket some airline offers seat sale which offers 50-70% off the seat price. Happy traveling!
