Hello lotters,
I know it's a direct question but don't be insulted by it because i would like to know if am alone on this one.
Frankly, i feel lost since this is the fourth year where i don't have a job ireally tried last month but things didn't work out. to other companies or call centers i just gave it up since my money is gone with the wind just to fail on the interviews.
I feel so low sometimes being out of the job for so long. some times i doubt whether my resume can still be a key in getting a good job if my track record was only good four years ago..
well, i hope it will my time this year. i am through with this life anyways. but at least i have become mature in choosing the right candidate for this election.after voting i will focus on applying again, and hopes to get better results.
have a great day

For at least 10 hours ;) i just resigned from my work but frankly i even feel good bout it. Ive been working there for almost 6 years and yet there was no instance that my salary went up. Cost of living 6 years ago is far less than now thats why i need to do something about it already. Right now im starting to miss most of my comrades there how i wish i will be able to see them sometime soon too

In all the 6 years you worked there your salary didn't increase? And I thought I was being treated unfairly here. I've had three salary increases in 4 years, and the increases weren't that big at all. But compared to you, I really did fare much better. I hope you find a good job soon and that your employer would treat you fairly. Good luck!

i guess i have never been unemployed since i started working after the graduation. maybe i am just so lucky. even after i quit my second job, i was able to get another job though it was only a part-time or sideline job. eventually, that the third job became a second job when i got my present job.
my first job was being a technician in manila.
second was almost the same field and a technician too, but with higher responsibilities.
third is the part-time job which was a computer technician/programmer.
fourth (my present) is with the government. but simultaneously, i held third job until almost 5 years while working with the fourth job.
so i can say, i have never been unemployed, all my life. and i hope it will not happen to me.
good luck again to your candidates... and hopefully, you will get a good job. sooner even before the elections. it feels better to earn from our own striving (offline) and not depend on with our parents, especially now that they are finished with their responsibilities to us, the children.

I've never been unemployed that much long. I guess 4 years is really that long being unemployed. I have been unemployed for only about 1 year without a job then I found a job after that. Now I am 9 years working already and I try my best not to be in that space again.

Hello Rsa,
well, it's because i did have other jobs and just stop four years ago. i have no idea why i stopped, i guess i rested too long and then i got to know this site mylot. some how i feel like stuck at home for some reason. but i will try next month. probably i will get lucky and have my own chance. I'd rather die with a job rather than die unemployed. thank you

I hope that you will find a stable job soon. I think jobs can sometimes make you a bit busy with life and self worth is uplifted as well. Even though I could say that I wish I had other better paying jobs offline, I am already grateful that at the end of the day I can bring comfort at home that I am able to contribute something at home. Mylot will always be there even you start working do not worry about that I do that a lot in office.

Don’t feel low about yourself! It’s hard out there right now. I just started a job 2 weeks ago but was out of work for almost exactly a year. I used to get so down on myself and I think that’s the worst thing you can do because it’s not you. It’s just the economy. It’s not that your not good enough or you can’t do that job. There just aren’t enough jobs out there! Stay positive and believe in yourself, things in my area are starting to get better as with everywhere. Something will come along. So many people are in your shoes, you’re not alone!

Hello samijo,
Well, you’re right it can be the economy but still major of that was my fault. But thanks anyways, I did attend the job fair last month and it was disappointing to see less job opportunities due to less exhibitors from different companies. Good luck to me I guess, so far I am eyeing on that company that I saw in the newspaper, il give it a try.

Hi Letran,
I am blessed that i never had the experience of being unemployed. since i graduated college and started working i never had any lull moments for work. i enve have extra/part-time jobs. it's really hard this time to be unemployed. we really have to be creative and innovative enough to earn for a living even without our employers. good luck friend. let's hope and pray for a positive result of the election.

Hello Ms.francisco,
Well, it’s not a good thing having a spaced on your career. And I think you can’t be unemployed because you have kids to educate and feed. You are lucky to be persistent in life, like most people now. But I know my time will come, I guess am not having a good chance but will have a good job some day.

Too darned long
I left my last job, over four years ago now, when my boss retired and since then I have been struggling to get another job. At my age and my physical state, it's highly unlikely I will ever gt another job.

Hello goth,
it's nice to have an oldie here in mylot. first time i've seen you here. the company that i used to worked on had closed down and ever since that time i have been looking for a steady job but things didn't go well as planned. many time i felt uncomfortable with the job. your age doesn't even show in the profile how would we know. but it's good to have you around after all these years.

I've been unemployed for the past 13 years now (or is it closer to 14 years? LOL) Anyway, I gave up having a paying job shortly after I found out I was pregnant with my oldest. I have been a stay at home mom ever since. I do get the itch to go back to work every now and then and have even sent out some job applications not all that long ago. It just hasn't happened yet. I guess it's just as well as I have to stay home at the moment anyway with my husband being laid up and all. Though once he heals all up I may just start putting out more applications again. However, with me not having much work experience I'm not going to be holding my breath.
Good luck! Happy mylotting!

I have not been in the workforce for many years now when I voluntarily call it quits to enter into business. Did I regret? Yes and no. I would have sit comfortably in an aircond office and getting handsome salary every month end without pain. But I was lured to the business world where I have to sweat for the income. Not so pleasant for a person who has no experience then. But now, it is well worth the decision I made to be pensioned off early.
I am sorry to hear that you have been jobless for a number of years. Another way to get a job is to be less concerned about what it is. Look around and you'll see work. It may not be what you want, but it's a start. Many famous and wealthy people began as bus boys, cooks and taxi drivers.

Hello zandi,
I was a graduate of Business Entrepreneurship, but sadly i couldn't get my head together to start my own. although i would have wanted to asked for loan but with out feasibility study i might get bankrupt. but for now i am gonna try to look for job after this election. well, such inspiring story but that was years before and i believe the competition is heavily equipped now. i should explore other possibilities.

hello letran,
well its almost five years now since the last time i have a job! i miss those days that i am working but nothing i can do since this is the life i choose. i am no longer working only because i am no longer allowed to.
my husband line of work requires me to be a stay at home housewife coz working might result some conflict of interest.
anyway, on your part, i wish you could land on a good job this year...its really difficult to be unemployed these days. well just be patient 7 don't forget to pray asking for His help & guidance!
wish you all the best letran and also good luck to your chosen candidate for this election.

Hello ckyera,
Yeah, not to mention who's gonna cook for your husband. but i don't blame it on the crisis, i blame myself for letting those opportunities pass by while my co-workers go steady with they're work. some even got promoted, who cares anyway. probaby faith is what i am lacking now. imagine after completing the night mass last year, i stopped going to church and then i attended again last sunday .

I have been unemployed since I finshed my education in november, and I can allready now feel the presure from my own self about not getting a regular income and beeing able to take 100% care of myself, I hate depending on others. Im constantly trying to look for jobs but beeing newly educated you dont have 10years+ experience as most companies seem to want.

Hello Downwindz,
How long you have been unemployed by the way? Don’t worry just don’t make yourself unemployed for far too long. Don’t feel the pressure, just relax, go have a resume and go to the company of your choice and don’t let them intimidate you. Be confident, that’s my advice, first job is always the hardest but prove to them that you’re the best among the rest.

Don't be disheartened Letran. I know how hard it is to not have a job, but you just have to go on looking for a job until you find one. For now maybe you can just focus on earning online. Who knows, maybe you'll find a really good way to make money online so that you won't have to find work anymore.

Hello Angelajoy,
Thank you so much for comfort. I have been depressed for quite some time and I really don’t like it when I started to feel this way. Although I tried applying again but it seemed very hard now since only few companies are participating in the job fairs. I might as well check the papers, for now am just gonna stick it in here. It’s impossible to maintain being online forever, what would happen if internet sieze to function.

I have not been employed since I came back to school last two years ago. I want to focus on my studies for now because I'm not getting any younger. It's really hard to find a suitable job nowadays. I hope after graduation my luck picks up.
Don't give up Letran, I know you will be finding the very best job suited for you soon
