Would you rather have a vacation home in a particular place in the world or be able to go on a trip to somewhere different every year. For example you might buy a villa in Spain, a log cabin in Austria or a beach house in Barbados. If you didn't have that you would be able to have a trip every year to a different location. For example this year you might go to the Philippines for some island hopping adventures. Next year you might go on a cultural exploration of China. The year after you might go on a safari in Tanzania.
Which would you prefer and why? A vacation home or a trip every year?
If you would choose the vacation home which country would you have it in?
If you would have the trip to different places which destinations would you choose over the next few years?

As far as I am concerned, I think if I have a long vacation, I will choose to travell all over the world,if the money permision. But actually, I does not have so much money, I think I will choose to go to some nearer places ,where are full of water and mountains,I think that be a great fun for me.Have a nice day.

Having a long vacation would be great for you because then you would be able to visit a number of different countries. You are sensible for thinking it might be possible for you to visit mountains and beaches in countries near to your homeland. Have a wonderful day.

I would rather take a vacation to a different destination each year. I would have to say that all the places I would choose to go would be right here at 'home' in the United States. Even though I have traveled across the country, there is still so much more that I haven't seen. I will be making two trips this year, one to Idaho and Montana, mainly to visit wildland fire memorial sites and base camps. The other trip will be later this year, back to Virginia, my oldest daughter will be having her baby then. Even though I like traveling, it's nice to come back home at the end of a long trip. Keeping up two homes would be too much work for me lol.

It is interesting to know that you still have much to see in America. I have been to California twice and to Hawaii once. I know there is lots more to see. I wish I could go to Seattle this summer but I don't think I can get into the States because my passport is not machine readable. It is lovely your oldest is expecting her baby later this year.

I am the kind of person that would like to be able to see many places throughout the world. That is the reason that I don't think buying a vacation home would ever be an option that would be good for me. So far in my life I've been to several places here in the states as well as Italy, France and Switzerland. Eventually my husband and I would like to be able to take our children to Germany and Ireland and we would also like to be able to take them to Austrailia as well as seeing different parts of our own country.

Hi, Maximax8.
I would like to prefer a trip every year to different places. A vacation home in a certain place is wonderful and more comfortable, but I tender to like wandering around different sites to gather knowledge about different countries and to learn different cultures varies from our Chinese culture.
Actually, travelling around is my dream for years but I'm so sorry that I haven't experience even one real trip. When I was in my college, I had leisure time to hang out but no money; while when I have money from my work but definitely no time. What a pity! I'm longing for a real vacation in near future.

Hi Candymin. I hope that in the future when you will be working in a job with some time off you will be able to afford to have lots of adventures in different countries. You will be able to meet the local people and find out about their culture. It will be excellent when you do manage to have a vacation.

i initially thought that i would like to have my own vacation house... but i realized that maintaining a vacation house is as expensive as going to a different place every time you have an opportunity. well now i am decided that i will just prefer to go out to different places than be staying in the same place over again for different occasions. oh well. that is just me. others may have their own preference. :)

I would choose England. I am not much of an adventurer. I prefer going to a safe place where I know I am going to have fun, a place where I feel safe, where I know the language, where I know I can rely on friends. I would prefer to save money and buy even a small flat or house in UK than travelling around the world.

Hi Maximax,
I would go for a greedy choice of a combo of both. LOL !! I would buy a vacation home at one of my favourite place. And keep open the flexibility of travelling to other places too. Opting for a single place every year would be quite boring.

I'd rather have a trip to a different country every year. Maybe it is because I am such an avid traveler. I want to be able to visit as many countries as possible before I grow old and before I am too weak to walk. For the next few years, my target destination is mainly Europe. After Europe, I would love to go to Alaska or New Zealand. After that, I want to go on a Caribbean cruise.

Hi Maximax,
It will a trip ...an out of town or out of the country trip with my family. we always look forward for a big break with the family. but for now, we will just stay home for the holy week break. we need to save money for our kids education. they are going to have their summer classes and then followed by the new school year. by december this year we will definitely schedule an out of the country travel.

I would rather go to someplace new every year. We had a few opportunites to buy a time share, but I was never interested in going to the same place every year. I know you can exchange them and go to different places, but I just didn't want to. I prefer going to someplace new every year. If you like it you can go back. I would probably want to see more of the US. I have traveled a lot, but there is still a lot to see in my country. I always liked the warmer parts near the oceans better.

I would probably prefer a trip to somewhere different every year. The reason why is because I would prefer to go somewhere different every year and not the same old place all the time. I would like to go to Alaska because I never have been there and I think it might be kind of interesting. I also have a cousin who lives there and I would like to visit her. I can't think of very many places I haven't been, lol. I would also like to go to Australia. That's another place I never have been. I hear some of it is like the american west, which is one of my favorite parts of the united states. Also, I would like to see the kangaroos and koala bears. I would love to go back to Hawaii someday. That's one of my favorite states in the union. I would also like to go back to Europe and spend more time over there than what we did in 1973. Kathy.
