This is better than the salad dressing you can get at the store. You will need: a pint jar of mayonnaise minus two tablespoons of it 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (or two tablespoons of any vinegar) 1 teaspoon dill weed 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon sea salt 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Start by using 2 tablespoons of the mayonnaise. You need to get rid of it because you're going to put the salad dressing back in the jar and there won't be enough room in there otherwise. So...you may as well eat it. If you make your own mayo this will work too. Anyway, dump the rest of the mayo into a big bowl. Put the vinegar in the mayo jar, cap it and shake hard; this will clean all the mayo off the walls of the jar. Dump the mayo-flavored vinegar in the bowl. Add all the spices. Stir with a wire whisk until it's smooth and creamy. Now dunk a piece of lettuce in it and take a taste. If it's good, put it in the jar; if it needs spices, don't be afraid to add some.
