what to replace internet?

World is becoming more uglier. People becoming more lonely. We all die in 2012.

By saying teleportation, are you referring to mental telegraphy? Like people know what you're thinking? Sounds interesting, but problems will appear: there are just some things you don't want people to know, like your darkest secrets...and if telegraphy exists, I'm afraid we'll lose our privacy. Perhaps we can plant a microchip inside our brains that will collect our thoughts and send them to our trusted peoplle, in an encrypted connection? Nevertheless, the internet looks good enough for me, but technology must advance, so maybea 100 years later, the internet will be something in history books!

Dear friend, Actually at present I cannot find any. But in coming future I hope there will be some to replace it. Moreover I consider electricity as the best invention than internet. I hope without electricity other inventions could have faced many obstructions. May be even wireless too. But technology advancement is sure to find some thing that will replace internet.

I don't think the internet is going away soon or be replaced by something else altogether. What i can see is more innovation, faster internet connection, more accessibility. In the future, more and more people will be connected online, its going to be more stable that we will basically depend on it in almost everything that we do.

Hi, i can't think of any technology that can replace internet in totality, may be i am not a visionary to be able to think of that.I have heard about some interesting researches like the computer will response to our though process. or the speed of communication may be as high as that of light. any research on communication technology may make it easy /fast to get connected. So any research or development in communication technology may change the way we get connected to internet, but internet getting wiped out due to development in communication technology, is beyond my thinking ability and vision.

I have to agree with some of our mylot friends, i dont see anything that will or might even replace the internet, unless by some miracle something new really pops out ;) But hey as of the moment im happy with all the innovations and the way technology is offering to us. If theres something that i want to be invented and mass produced i think that will be the invention of flying cars ;)

Teleportation seems to very cool, but as of now I am not able think of anything else which can replace internet. .com revolution is such a hit that even though technology is advancing so fast, I am not able to think any other thing which can replace Internet, at least not near future.

Indeed Internet is the most revolutionary invention came into existence few decades back but now people are trying to make it compact as much as possible like putting it into iphones & small devices,but its hard to predict the possibility of Teleportation may be possible or is just a myth the time will prove it better,as i do believe that Teleportation is quite impossible to imagine in reality.....!

yes i agree that there may be a advance system to communicate. but it cant be successful without people. internet is a network of not only machines. it is a network of millions of machines which are used by millions and even billions of people. so if that technology can bring together those people i think that can be a replacement.

For me, Internet is a best way when it comes for communication. You can talk and see video through net easily. Internet is all in one hehe.. Have a nice day!!!

i think no one can replace a internet ... it's high tech now and they can more upgrading by internet ....

I think it will come a time when people will have high-tech wings to fly-- more like a vehicle but attached to our back controlled by our minds so we could just fly and fly..

I think internet is the only thing which shrinks this world to ur hand. I dont think any other technology will come and win Internet.

i honestly cannot imagine what can eventually replace the internet. maybe it will just be enhanced in the years and decades and centuries to come. but for it to become extinct in a sense? i find that hard to imagine. although teleportation is cool!

I personally do not think the internet will ever be "replaced", It may however be different than the one we know to day. The internet has a plethra (not sure if that is the right word) of information, some real some theory and some completely wrong. As for teleportation, I think it may be possible in the future but only to an extent. Only non-living matter will be able to be transported, stuff like metal, wood, water, etc. To effectively teleport the atoms would need to be broken down then re-assembled elsewhere. When you break down the atoms of living matter (humans, animals, plants) you kill them. That's my theory anyway.
