The Bhagavad Gita is a collection of timeless truths. It comprises eternal principles that are as valid today as they were many thousands of years ago. And it will remain a guiding light for generations to come. These truths form the lighthouses that steer us through the turbulent ocean of life.
An interesting point to note is that the Bhagavad Gita is a dialogue, a question and answer session, wherein the seeker and the perceptor engage in healthy debate about the teachings. This is indicative of the fact that nothing the Bhagavad Gita says is above questioning.
It must be approached with reverence but not blind faith. The concepts put forth must be questioned, analysed, reflected upon and most importantly, lived. Only when you have lived these values will you truly understand the worth of the Bhagavad Gita, India's Spiritual Treasure.
Tell me have you read the bhagavad Gita? What did you like most? What did you not find anywhere else? Why did it make a difference in your life?

No, I have not read it yet. But my mom has told me stories about it. I look forward to reading it sometime soon. I want to understand the law of karma and the science of reincarnation properly. Do you have any good sources?

I bought the Bhagavad Gita some years ago and I read only short passages because I have never time to read, I have a little child and so I have no time for my hobbies.... I like it, I'm very interested in Pagan religions as Hinduism, Shintoism, etc.
You are right, this book comprises eternal principles, I respect your culture very much becase it is very ancient and wise.

Frankly speaking, I have not read Bhagavath gita, as a book, but have been taught in my school days and also by my elders. It is the way how you should live your life and know how to tackel issues in life. The teachings are very practical and are even relevent in todays world!

My favourite chapter of the Bhagavad Gita? (9).- The most confidential knowledge..... I's all about "soul" science and the direct relationship between the surpreme and the individual soul. It's my experience that most people have insufficient knowledge and background to comprehend the book... and it can be even "dangerous" when these people draw their own conclusions out of the texts.. this is only for the initiated.. or under guidance of a bonafide teacher...

oh yes!! I LOVE THE BHAGVAD GITA.
The one by His Divine Grace is the best coz it is free from faults and is by a pure devotee of God.
it does not belong to any specific religion but is universal.
The Gita teaches an intire lifestyle and not a side lying activity.

Yes, I have read Bhagwad Gita once. I think it is essentially practical in its character and teachings of Lord krishna for the mankind for their spiritual guidance. What I liked the most is the divine and demoniac natures of a human being. It says that a demoniac man knows no limits to his desires to acquire money. For this he doesnt hesitates to act in any sinful way. he believes in his own strength and doesnt know whatever he is gaining is due to his past good deeds or in the law of 'karma'.such a man thinks of himself as a supreme God and hence they don't believe in the Almighty, our good Lord.
