What do you do when you see a stranger punishing their child in a way that is just wrong? What about if your friend or family member treats their child wrong? Have you ever been faced with this problem? If you have, what have you done?

I do occasionally encounter this. However, I think it's better not to be involved in another family's matter. You may think that you have a good intention by correcting what they did or advising them better ways, they can be quite repulsive towards your involvement since you don't exactly know the situation of the family.

You have a point there, my fear is always that the parents might take out their anger at your involvement on their kids and you might make the situation even worse. Thanks for the response.

i haven't encountered anything like that. but if ever i do i'd just give suggestions or questions like 'dont you think thats a little bit too harsh?' or 'has it ever occured to you that he is just a child?' something like that.

when i was a kid my father use to leave me alone since he has to go to the office. sure it made me cry a lot when he goes away but he has to work to earn money. it's inappropriate for him to leave me but if he stayed with me, he'll be absent at their office.
