Chocolate chip cookie treat - A treat for working hard

For the past few days, including last week, I’ve been dealing with a couple of major issues at work. I’ve been coming in early, staying late, and sometimes barely have time for lunch. Well today, I’ve come to a breaking point, for an hour or so after a working-lunch, I couldn’t do anything. I was just so overwhelmed that I think my mind quit, and just refused to work. I had to do something to get going again. So, I went to a vending machine, and got myself a large chocolate chunk cookie. After this myLot break, I will be at it again. Will try and keep the you-know-what from hitting the fan here at work. So, have you given yourself a treat today? Do you think you deserve one?

Hey bounce! I just responded to someone elses discussion about "guilty pleasures"! I have been having a chocolate craving now for a few days and haven't acted on it and since I'm gaining weight anyway without eating cookies, cakes or candies I may as well just give in to my craving! So, I decided tonight I will have a chocolate chip cookie too after my dinner! So, there you go! I am looking forward to my cookie too, even if it isn't a chucky one! I hope you enjoyed yours too!

Yes I did enjoy my cookie. Sometimes I can get them fresh and warm at nearby Quiznos, and those are the time I couldn't resist them. However hard I try. I hope you enjoyed yours too! I don't see anything wrong with having one, once in a while.

Hi bounce. I have given myself a treat, not today but yesterday (payday). I bought myself some of the things that I've been meaning to buy for quite some time. And treated myself and a friend to dinner of oil and garlic with hungarian sausage (pasta). :-) Guess am making you hungry again? I have to admit you made me hungry coz I looove chunky chocolate chip cookies.

Speaking of Hungarian sausage... I used to work with a Hungarian here in the office. He was just like me in terms of work attitude so we hit off! Often we would sneak out during boring days at work and we would have our big breakfast in a small restaurant where we work. It would be french toast, sausages, to eggs-over-easy, and coffee. All for just $5! ...there, I made you hungry too! Unfortunately, he got laid off last year, due to the recession.

Sometimes I feel the same and I usually treat myself to a nice resturant on Fridays or something. I think it is nice to treat yourself sometimes because you are working for yourself after all..

Hello Flirtykumquat! That's one way of doing it. Saving it all up until the weekend. Then you know that you'll have a couple of days to savour it, before it all starts back again on Monday. Thanks!

I hadn't until I read this post, now I am eating a girlscout cookie you reminded me I had in the cupboard. I did deserve it I think, the boys playedtheir first baseball game today so I spent 4 hours in a chair watching the double header, if that didn't earn it for me, getting these grass stains out of his uniform before Thursdays game should clinch it for me. If Edmonton manages to tie this up I might eat several more!!

I think we also have some girl scout cookies in the cupboard too! But not the mint ones. I may just have some later too! I think the wings mentally checked out when it was 4-zip. Great that they still had it in them to win it, high stick and all! I'm scoreboard watching. Because if nothing changes, it looks like your wings and my canucks might face up in the first round. Scary thought for me!

I always give my self a treat, whenever i feel like I'm over loaded of works and task to accomplish then I would take a break going in a nearest starbucks coffee and order a big cup of cappucino and a big turkey sandwich and sit there in a couple of hours while surfing the web giving myself a treat in a break can help me able to concentrate way back to my track to finish all my activities at work

Don't you get full when you eat the turkey sandwich? If I were in your case, and I decided to give myself a treat at Starbucks, I would get the Double Chocolate Chip Cream Frappucino! And maybe some warm chicken pandesal! Hmmmmm! Thanks for the response!

Hello maikeruk. Although you say you give yourself one almost daily, I hope you mix it up. I'm sure the treat loses its meaning, or it's importance if you know that you'll surely get one everyday. Thanks for the response.

not at all is a psychological treatment called positive response "something" it doesnt mean that I give me one just for the day i have to accomplish something but the thing is that i divide project as small as possible to not be overwhelm by the immensity of a big work. when I dont accomplish something i just give thanks to my self for what I was able to do, re-plan and work on it until i get what I want for that project/activity.

I can't have a cookie this week. It isn't Kosher for Passover. But I did treat myself to donuts last Thursday. My first bus got me in time for a second. I said what the hell so I went to the shopping center that has a Shoppers Supermarket that makes the biggest donuts. I bought two.

Don't kill me but I think 40 wholes is equal to two full , and maybe three whole donuts.I have two supermarkets where I get donuts . At the Giant I get a cinnamon swirl. At Shoppers, my favorite is vanilla topped. But I have found a raspberry filled that is sinful! It id huge. I Tried, Underline tried, to eat two. It was a meal! so when I crave one, I get Only one.

In my quest to be healthy, I don't eat the full size donuts anymore. I just eat the holes. Sometimes all box of 40 holes. Did you get the ones with the fillings? I just love the old fashioned ones.

That's what I'd call a treat! All of those for just $11! You'd have to have an eye for that sort of thing, or you have to be very lucky to find such a bargain. I hope next week will be better for you cher.

I give myself a treat everyday - hee hee - and it's not that I deserve one or not - I'm just get hungry out of my mind and the hunger radar finds the junky stuff - ha ha! My work is being a stay-at-home mom . . . so I can be near food at home . . . or I'll pack stuff when we're on the go. Today's treat was some Easter candy!! We went on a lunchdate with Daddy . . . one of his coworkers gave my daughter an Easter basket with a bunch if miniature chocolates. She let me have a Mr. Goodbar and Krackel . . . two lovely morsels !! We are going to put together Easter goodie bags later this afternoon . . . I might treat myself again !!

Hello p3ks626. This is more than a week late, but I hope that before the end of the day when you responded to this discussion, you did give yourself a treat. Hopefully it were chocolates, or ice cream. Or even better, chocolate ice cream! Thanks for dropping by.

When i feel that im so stressed out with everything that is happening around me i give myself a treat. Theres two ways how i treat myself one is to go shopping and the other is to go to starbucks have my fave frapuccino. Do I deserve one? definitely i can say i deserve it, after the long days of working, being pressured at work, having a stressful day and not getting enough sleep. I always believe that i needed to give myself a break.

I also think that Double Chocolate Chip Cream Frappucino from Starbucks is a good treat from time to time. Specially after a hectic day or week at work. Shopping is good too, if you got the funds for it. Thanks for responding.

I have been worrying a lot lately that's why i have decided to give myself a simple treat. i bought a purple blouse yesterday and got it for a very affordable price... apart from the blouse, i also bought some snacks like chicken burger from Mcdonalds. I am not allowed to eat unhealthy foods often because I am diabetic...

Hello gracie04. Did you get to wear your new blouse when you ate your chicken burger? That would have made the treat perfect. Hope you take care of yourself. And thanks for responding.

I would like to give myself a treat everyday, but I'm afraid that it would lose its meaning if I get it regularly. Not to mention that it isn't too good to the thing that I am trying to reduce in the first place. There's just days like these that a treat is really necessary. Thanks M.

Does taking a shower count? Staying home with a two year old who doesn't nap makes anything but a short shower near impossible. I used to complain that the last bubble bath I had was 8 yrs ago before my oldest was born. Now, I'd love a shower I could linger in until the water ran cold:)

Not yet, I haven't treat myself today. Unless I earn 1$ today here in myLot and I think I will not have a treat to myself today nor tomorrow. Because for me earning here in myLot will be a great treat for myself. How about treat myself a 10$ earning just today. That's more than a treatment.
