How many dogs would you have as pets?

I went shopping for dog supply in the local grocer. Since I was talkative enough to tell everyone that I just recently adopted a dog, a lady advised me to let a week pass before bathing my dog. She says my dog was still acclimatizing to the new environment and new masters. So I asked You love dogs, too? She said I have a hundred! What else can I say? Then she said I'm free to come and see her dogs and gave me her address.

If a dog is a bit smelly you can "dry shampoo" it without it getting stressed. We use a mixture of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) and cornflour (cornstarch). Mix a couple of teaspoons of each together then rub it through the dog's coat and then brush out. The baking soda deodorises and the cornstarch absorbs any grease from the coat. It doesn't smell and won't hurt the dog at all if they lick themselves after.

I have one at home, I want to have more but my house don't have back yard. One is big responsibility now I had to walk him every day, bathe every week, food and vet bill. I think if I want more I have to wait until I got bigger house with big back yard so I don't have to walk him every day.

We only have three dogs and i guess thats enough. We dont like to have too much dog coz we cant really maintain it. If we have lots of money then i want to have two dogs more. I love my dogs so much its like they are my babies i want to see them right away when i get home or when i woke up in the morning. I like kissing and say good morning to them. :)

If I could, I would have one dog, but for now, I have four cats and that is more than enough for me.

My adopted dog is chasing my neighbor's cat, ha ha! But Tac-tac (my daughters call the cat by that name), the black fat cat, faces my dog and challenges the grrr before prancing up the wall.

Currently, I only have one dog. And she is a handful. I have owned two dogs at once before. The trick is to make sure the dogs all get along. If one is really territorial, it can be a mess.

Handful, yes. My problem is the bathing. My dog is afraid of water.

We have one but, from choice I wouldn't have any. I dont dislike dogs, I just have a mild asthmatic allergy to them & would prefer not to live with them. I cant imagine how anyone would care for 100 and the food/vet/insurance bills must be massive!!

Dog fur could really cause asthma. I am not immune either. My daughters bathe the dog as much.

As far as I am concerned, I think I will just raise one dog in my house ,which can be very quiet and comfortable for my family. If I have raise two or more dogs in my house, I think they will play together and make a lot of noise out.In this way, I think I will just raise one.

Hi! You will not believe me, but I have seven dogs. Two of them are little, but the other four are big adult dogs. Three of them are doberman, and nobody want to touch them because they are a little scary. But I love them. They love to play games with me. Oh, did I mention I have a bird too?

Yeah, well when I was a kid I loved to look after dogs, once I had 2 little bulldogs that I actually built a doghouse for, fed them, played with them, but my neighbour hates animals, so when we went to a holiday for a week, we arranged for a friend to come by to feed them and give them water, but the creepy neighbour took the dogs somewhere (I am sure of it, I've seen him do it before to cats) and probably killed them. I am pretty sure of it, although he never admitted anything... I missed them so much ;(

That is why God's second commandment about loving thy neighbors as thyself is the more difficult commandment. My neighbors are nuts, too, totally, absolutely! But I have to love them! Grrrr! Am trying my best to be kind. Wish you could have your dogs back.

hello, I also love to have as many dogs as my companion specially stray dogs because I feel the sympathy and I would want to take care of them, they can sense and cope with our feelings too.

Everyone has different opinions on things to do when they get a dog or pet. The main thing to do when you get a new pet is to get a bond with the animal. Check the dog/ pet over, paws, teeth, fur, tail ears you get the idea. Giving the dog/ pet a bath in the first couple of days can have a relaxing effect on the pet. I had as many as 32 dogs at one time. I train dogs for obedience and security. At this time I was also renting them out for security... Right now i have just 2, darn it .. My wife wants 1 more for herself, I want 1 more to train for guard/ security work.. Hummm what a dilema... REMEMBER ALWAYS LUV/ CARE FOR YOUR DOG/ PET, THEY WILL ALWAYS LUV U...

We've had dogs ever since. Right now we have three and we of course treat them like members of the family. HOwever, because the house where we are staying is small, we don't let them in so they are free to run around outside but still within our fenced area. I think the lady who said she got a hundred dogs must be kidding. She probably has many but not really a hundred.

Right now we have 6 dogs, 4 of them were bought at pet shops while the other two were adopted from neighbors. We used to have 15 because two of my female dogs gave birth. Since my husband and I are working and all of my children go to school, nobody was left at home to look after the puppies, so my children gave them away to relatives and friends. I must admit that maintaining too many dogs is quite tiring and stressing and costly, of course. So we decided that they'd be given away than left unattended at home.

Very costly indeed. My food and supply budget exceeded the limit. The dog food is quite expensive. But the new pet makes me feel secure. I'd probably get a Lab Retriever in the future. Dogs are good company when the children are in school.
