As some of you know, I just moved into my new place 4 weeks ago. I am getting settled in, but I had a job interview, and if I should be lucky to get chosen for the job.......I'll have to start packing up and move again! I have to live within a 30 minute response time to the office, which means moving again. I really like my house, but I also really want the job. Guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens. Have you ever been a 'victim' of 'becareful what you wish for'? Have you had to make a move shortly after getting settled into a place?

I've been living in our house practically all my life. I never experienced moving in because even if I am working now, my work is just few meters from where we are living right now so I wonder how it feels moving around. As for the saying "be careful what you wish for", it is my dilemma right now, I think I am a victim of my own wish and I am trying to sort things in my life now. Wish me luck!

Good luck with whatever it is you are trying to sort out. I actually think things happen for a reason. So if it is meant to be for me to have the job, then it will also work out with moving. If not, then it was meant for me to stay where I presently live.

Hey palonghorn! Wow! That sure is a tough decision! I see
you possible dilema! I don't know what I would do! I haven't
moved in 30 years now! I have always made sure to be able to
travel to my jobs, even if it meant an hour and a half of bus
travel! I hated it, but I am not good at uprooting as you can
see! I got moved around too much as a child so when I moved
into this apartment I decided this was my "first real home"
and so it has remained that way! It's only too bad that it's
a rental because I could have just about owned the complex by
now!

I think the longest I lived in one place was 7 years lol. If I could work for this job and stay here, I would commute. I have to live within a 30 minute response time to the office. There will be times, a lot of the time, that I would be on-call. I haven't lived in that part of Texas, sooooo just one more adventure in my life..........that is IF I even get the job lol

Wishing you luck, getting your job. I would never want to tackle moving again. That part will stink.

Thanks, yeah, that's the only part I'm not looking forward to, moving again. But it is still yet to be seen if I get the job or not. But, if by chance I do get it, I'll be moving to a part of Texas I have never lived in lol

For me and my family, we have moved quite a number of times and we have really been through a lot - and i meant hardships with this. we are almost getting booted out of our place because we can no longer pay the rent, etc...
Well, i think i too have been a victim of this, i am sometimes just saying i wish on this, and that.. and most of the interpretations i have of the situations in my life are just not what i expected it to be when i first thought of solutions... :( oh well... one fact is that we should really ought to just be positive and just not think of any recoil in our decisions.. and that we get what we wished for...

i never get the chance to rent a room, mostly i live in students" dorm.but i think it just you can not" get everything done",life goes like that.it cannot be perfect.when u get something ,u will lose something.Chinse saint Laozi ever said losing and getting goes hand in hand.it is true.when i got admission into university in xi'an,i also have to leave my hometown, say goodbye to my dear mom and dad.but when i come to xi'an,i met new friends, learn a new language, and get familiar with a big city.that is the good that comes with the bad.so life is always full of surprises.you dont have to complain ,sometimes it is just what God has set for you

Oh I'm not complaining, either way it will turn out the way it is meant to be. Either I will not get the job and stay in the house I just moved into, or I'll get the job and have to pack up and move.

I think you have to consider 'becareful what you wish for'. Because it will influence you in the future. But anyway, good luck for you. Consider what will be happened next.
