Working on something, at the end you might get nothing

Don't you hate that you trying to dedicate your time and energy on something, you want to work on it, at the end, you might get nothing in return? I meant that is common sense. If you invested your time and energy on doing something, you might want something in return. It is the same thing on your relationship, as well as on your online work. Recently, I found out that, both of my investments just waste of time, and they won't work out at all. So, I had a really bad investment. What I got is an expensive lesson, and hopefully, I will be smarter next time.

I think there is very little wasted time. Yes, you may have lost money and time, and you also learned many things along the way, so that next time you put your mind to something you can avoid similar mistakes because you are now more educated.
