Do you confess your sins to a person such as priest or do you confess your sins directly to God? Do you believe the importance of confessing our sins to others?

I don't confess my sins to the priest because we have no priest in the church where i belong, i only confide my mistakes the the persons which can be trusted as such the old deacons and deaconess of the church. But i confess my sins directly to God. This is the so-called special and true confession direct to God..You could seek advice from the land but not confession.

I would rather confess my sins to the person against whom I have committed that sin. If for some reason I were unable to confess my sin to him then I would confess it to the priest. Again, if for some reason I am unable to confess to the priest I would go and confess it to the God or my own conscience, by admitting that I have done something wrong and vow never to repeat it again.
Confession is a good thing. It keeps our tendency to commit sins within the limits. It saves us from hypertension, and other related diseases, such as blood pressure, diabetes, kidney failure, etc. These diseases are the physical manifestation of our mental sickness, that occur due to sins we usually commit.

I was brought up a catholic and there are a few things I learned, telling your sins to a priest was invented by the church, God did not tell us to do that, no marrage in the preisthood is also invented by the church. I dont believe in humiliating myself to another person, I confess straight to God simply by admiting I am a sinner. Then praying in a congregation is the key.
