Do you think that the judges are getting pickier this season?

I ususally dont watch the show but somehow this season has drawn me in. I ask the question because everytime I watch, it seem that all I here is pickyness from the judges, well maybe to some. "It was too much drama" or "It didnt do anything for me", etc. It's like, "How did these people ever get to go to Hollywood if they are pleasing the judges very well? I know that the viewers are the ones that decide thier fate but the we do listen to the judges, righj? It does affect our votes. What do you all think?

I don't think the judges have been more picky than the past. This group, with few exceptions, this year just isn't "star" quality. So the judges just seem to be on their cases more. They're trying to get a "star" to show up, but the only people close are Crystal and maybe Lee.

they sound a lot pickier because this year's talent is so much less than the last years, i mean, season 7 we got the davids, carly, michael johns, jason castro, brooke white, and the others. then season 8 we got kris, allison, danny, and the sensational adam lambert. this year's talent just paled in the comparison, you know? and maybe the judges was wanting something more than last years, and they got, that. i mean, this season is not really the best talent AI has ever had, some (like me) would say it's the worst. and it didn't help that even the talents are mediocre, they performed like they didn't mean it. like katie stevens, if she's performing at her best, she could be the best. but she doesn't. so i guess the judges are torn up between dissapointment (because the comparison of talets to last years seasons) and frustration (because some contestant just can't bring it)
