Hey friends, How do you spend your time when you get the flu? Do you stay in bed or do you spend it on foot? Why do you choose what you chose to do in a first place? Thanks in advance for answering!

i do workout if i get flu. I run as much as i can to start sweating. When I get back home I dress with the warmest clothes possible.Get into a sleeping bag and by the morning you will sweat all the night, and in the morning you will feel just fine. I always try this method and works for me. this not means that works for everybody. But try it. Who knows?

Hi. dimitarivanov. I spent almost the entire day in bed yesterday after having the Flu. I went to bed around 4 pm and then I got up a couple of times after that. Then I woke back up at 6 the next morning. I was so sick until I did not felt like getting up at all. My body was so helpless and weak.

i need to work and if i don't we have no money and food. i am the head of the family of 6 children and that means, getting sick is prohibited to me. so even when i feel sick, as long as my body can and i take medicines, i still go to work. god forbid, i never got bed ridden ever since, which i think would cause me not to go to work.

hie dimit, when i am down with the flu, my best companion is my bed. i take 2 panadols with 1 vitamin c and go to bed. i bring along 2 litres of water and put on my bedside table. besides the water i have isotonic drinks such as 100 plus. 100 plus is very sweet to my standard and that is the reason i need plenty of water. too i have a hugh mug, pour in the 100 plus isotonic drink and drink with water. that is my diet for the day of rest. no telly or reading. sometimes some soft music is allowed. i close the curtains and rest and rest.i have a box of issues besides me too. i try not to think or reflect too much. and more often than not with the panadol, the aches are gone and i sleep very well and soundly. my body sleeps, get into action and do the repair work begins. i pray to God to help me in my healing so that i can help in my family's chores and work. i give Him praise and thanks.

It has been a long time since I have had the joy of having the flu. However, I remember each time that I have had it well enough. With the flu, I tend to spend a lot of quality time in the bathroom. Lets just say that there are times when you have the flu and you get attacked from both ends. So I tend to stick rather close to the bathroom, even though I would be rather resting. When I finally get done in the facilities, I crash in bed and go to sleep for several hours. If I can sleep that is, providing the violent coughing and the urge to throw up something when there is nothing to throw up does not return. I try and relax, watch some television, anything to keep my mind off of the sickness that is attacking me and causing me great discomfort.

when i am sick, i generally lay on the bed, dressed in sweats and a drink (like orange juice or water) with the tv remote close by and just try and rest.

This really doesn't apply to me since I have never had the flu and I haven't had any sickness that bothered me enough to apply either since around 1970. Now I did have a broken foot in 1992 but that didn't stop much except for driving.

Thank God its been years since I have been sick let alone with the flu. If I'm sick with the flu and have a fever I will spend the day in bed in lu lu land. I can't function with a fever. Now if I'm sick and the fever is gone I will spend time in bed resting, sleeping, watching TV, reading a book or magazines.
