Have you noticed that some pills you take you have to take with food, other pills after food and then there are the ones you take before food.I am on four sets of pills and they have to be taken in the morn some with food, some on an empty stomache. Now they want me to take medication for my raynauds aswell.Thankfully i am nearly finished the pills, but need to collect more.

hi jugsjugs yes I sure have but lately here I just take them with food and let it go. I take nine in the morning, three for high blood pressure, two for diabetes, one for arthritis, one for anemia, and a baby aspirin to prevent hopefully a heart attack. now I am going to be put on steriods to get rid of an allergic rash on my leg, and my doctor warned me that it would make my blood sugar level rise but he did not tell me it would skyrocket so now I am too high and have a headache because I wanted to get rid of the itching on my rashed up leg. sometimes it seems like you just cannot win. Raynauds is when you get cold hands, I have read about it b ut do not know too much. good luck God bless.

I am still on pills for pee infection that was a kidney and liver infection, also have abcesses on my glands again that have not gone down with the last load of pills they gave me.My white cells are high which shows an infection,i am soo fed up of taking pills as they do not do like the drs say.The raynauds has got worse due to the arthritis getting worse and that thanks to my psoriasis.I am going to inject again to i hope get all three abit better,as there are no other ways of sorting the problems so i get the injections free of charge as they come on a fridge medi van.I do so hope you soon get sorted,it is soo sad when you try to sort one thing out and that messes another part of your body up,it also makes you feel down aswell as soo disheartened.I hope you get sorted soon.

hi alice had to rack my brain for awhile, senior moment but remember now I take tramadol in the morning and in the evening and since I do have severe arthritis in my knees it does work. ask your doctor about it,it may take several weeks before it really starts to work but then it is really heaven sent. I had been on some many of the popular ones but they just did not last for the pain, but tramadol for me really does work. hope this helps.

hi jugsjugs thanks me too as this high blood sugar just cannot be good for me, and I have alw ays been so good to keep my blood sugar down where it belongs. I am drinking water like mad as it will wash the sugar out of your system, but sure is a hassle running to the bathroom every little while. hugs.

Wow, you definitely have your work cut out for you! I have no idea how you remember when and how to take all your pills. One pill is enough for me - LOL! However, I'm supposed to be taking my multivitamin along with calcium supplements. I couldn't tell you how much calcium I'm supposed to be taking. I'm normally a very organized person, but when it comes to taking pills, I'm a wreck. I think it's just the fact that I hate remembering to take them. Swallowing pills is fine, but I just don't like having to remember it. I know it's probably not the best thing to omit from my memory when it has to do with my health, but that's the way it is! Also, I'm just wondering if you've heard anything about it being better to take vitamins at night (after dinner)? I heard this from my grandma - she said they absorb better then or something. Take care!

I have heard that as well over the years. I take some morning and others evening, when I remember to take them. I would say that is the important thing, take them when you can remember them best.

I completely agree! It's better to take them whenever I remember than to shoot for taking them each evening after dinner and eventually forgetting. That is the best way to go!

I take a lot of pills, but they're herbal or vitamins... I can't imagine taking as many prescription pills as some people do. I'd be out of my mind with confusion! LOL I take one prescription pill for blood pressure, but am working toward eliminating that with some herbal remedies and lifestyle changes. Other than that, I refuse to take prescription medicines because they have so many side effects that can be dangerous.

We take a boat load of vitamins, and some otc pain relievers etc. when necessary. "Experts" like insurance agents and doctors are often amazed at what we do not have to take. I am mid fifties, and Hubby is in his sixties and neither of us takes any Rx meds.

I am on medication for my bp and has been popping in pills for the past 28 years. I take 2 types of pills for 3 times a day. Besides my bp pills I take supplements everyday. And I take them in the morning together with my breakfast.

When you take a lot of pills, you will find they need to be taken different ways. I took 14 a day and they all had to be taken a different way. I do not take them now, I found the more I took the more I had to take.

What is really scary is how easy it is for folks to talk about taking pills. The Big Pharma companies are winning hands down because people are willing to take their poisons just because some doctor who benefits from you being sick tells you to. Get a clue people this joke they call the health care system should really be called the sick care system because the doctors and the hospitals and of course the mega Pharmacutical companies make their money selling pills to sick people so ask yourself this:::: do they really want to help me get well? Just a question and maybe one day people will wake the hell up and reclaim their health.

Yes, I have 4 that need to be taken about half an hour before food, 1 that needs to be taken with food, 1 at the end of the day and another whenever. The nurse recommended that I take the "whenever" one just before bed as it can cause nausea &, if I'm asleep, I wont know about it Since its an important one, thats good because it reminds me to take the other end-of-the-day one which I often forgot before.

Taking pills is a very complicated process. Certain pills nay not be good for certain patient. For exaple if you have high blood pressure, be carefull when you take cold medicine from the counter. Only take those with the heart sign on it, because cold mediucine can elevate hight blood pressure for certain people. I believe in the healing power of my own body. Nowaday I listen more to my body. I am on raw vegtable diet. An knock on wood I haven't had a cold since i am on this diet and the high blood pressure gone without taking any pills daily.

If you are prescribed pills by the doctors then take pills on time and according to the instruction given to you I have never ate so much pills, like before lunch, after lunch and all. I don't like to have pills, I use to avoid pills as much as possible. They make me more sick. When I am not well, I eat well and gradually I am fit. I never go for pills, sometimes doctors give so much pills that you can't eat but hey never understand. I never go to see a doctor so often. If it feels like I can't do alone then I go like for testing, blood test or urine test, other wise No no to doctor, no doctor, no pills..

I avoid pills as much as I can.I don't like any products that comes from a pharmacy. My opinion about pills is that you take one for headache and you destroy your leaver, you take a pill for something and you destroy your stomach. Thanks God that I don't depend on any pharmaceutical products.

I hate having to take pills.. I have to take pills regulary for my thyroid. It doesn't matter if I have it before or after or during meal.. I have taken some pills on an empty stomoch which were meant to be taken after/ with a meal and it made me feel rather ill.. I think some are very strong and sensitive to the stomoch.

What really drives me nuts is when I have to take two different pills at the same time, yet one needs to be taken with food, and one needs to be taken on an empty stomach. That's a real #$%^! to figure out. LOL I have heart-burn pills that I need to take twice a day on an empty stomach, and a few weeks ago I had a really bad urineary tract infection, and needed to take the pills four times a day with food, and that means as well as the two in the middle, one in the morning and one at night. it was really weird, trying to figure that out. LOL

That's a long list of pills... Well as for me, I prefer pills after food, as they would just mix withe food, but b4 food, if I have any pills, I would feel weak till I had something. But either ways, pills do make me feel drowsy and dull.

And some you can't take with milk. Really pays to read the paper that comes with prescriptions to see what all the side effects are too. Those were the true draw backs for me. I got severe headaches with one medication I was prescribed and awful stomachache on another. You just don't know until you try them.

Yes, I have known of pills like this. I don't think I've known of any you take after eating, though. I have known of medicines you take on a full stomach. I take most of my medicine while I'm eating. I just have one pill I take once a week on an empty stomach. That's my Fosamax. I have to wait 30 minutes before I eat anything after I take it. I also have to remain upright for 30 minutes after I take it and if I sit down after I've taken it, I can't stand up for 30 minutes. I think it could cause you to pass out if you stand up. Kathy.

Well taking pills is real dangerous one. And following the time is very important. And taking them at empty stomach may lead to stomach ulcer and other health problems. Its always better to take after your food.
