In the current trend, I see kids starting from 6 years getting used to the Internet.
I only started using Internet when I finished my high school. The Internet was still not publicly available when I was studying schools. It's nice to see kids getting exposed to computers and Internet very early.
At what age you got to know the Internet and started using it?

I think they can start using the internet as early as their first year in school. But, it should always be under our guidance. And they only browse when its related to school activities or maybe play simple games for kids.
There is this risk where they will be exposed to MMORPG games and they will get addicted to these games and that's not a good idea at all.
Aside from the danger of meeting bad people online.
It must, must always be done under our supervision. They must be protected.

I'm already 52 when I started using internet. No internet yet during my college days, so never did I think I would learn surfing and meeting online friends. Sharing my ideas, blogging, getting along with friends and even earning on line is a wonderful internet experience. My three year old grand daughter fastly learn with the internet. She could manage to open the pc and go to her favorite videos and games.

I believe it was ten the first time I used the Internet for anything. One of the lessons in our computer class was basically how to use an Internet browser. I believe it was Netscape but this was a long time ago. So that was my first experience with the Internet. It was quite interesting to say the least, something rather different at the time.
I think it was about at eleven or twelve when I got the Internet at home. And my life has changed for the better. Or for the worst, if you really want to look at from a cynical point of how "Internet is destroying our society". Still, I think the Internet has benefited me in many ways. I would not have learned as much as I had without the Internet and who knows what life would be like without it. Still ten was my first experience, but I did not really get full access to it other than at school until I was about twelve.

Hello sir! I'm 23 right now. and I think I started using the internet when I was 17. Am such a late bloomer? Before I don't think of it that much. I can't really say that I'm an addict right now. I use it for connecting with my family and friends who are overseas.

At what age? Just enough when they are trying to learn. I would like my kids to learn but I would reprimand my kids if they play on the internet. I'm not against online gaming. I like my kids to have outdoor games as well. I guess more exercise for me that seating in front of a screen.

I was almost 50 years old when we got our first computer and found the internet. First, I think it was Compuserve, then Prodigy, then AOL... and then I found the real internet. :) The internet is a whole different culture so I think it's a good idea that kids are familiar with it, although they need to be supervised because they can get into real trouble.

I think it was 1990 perhaps when I was 45 and the Internet was fairly new. I remember using Prodigy, but I may have been using the Internet much early than that at work since I just remembered having a modem at work which could have been in the mid-1980's.

I think I was in High School, about 13 or 15 when I started using the internet. yes I heard kids as young as 5 years old have been exposed to the internet. on one hand, it's good cause they'll be able to learn lots of stuff and I think it would help them develop their skills. on the other hand, they may be too young to understand the perils of internet predators. so I guess it really does go both ways.

i can't even remember not having the internet around, but i think it must have been around my second or third year of school that i began to use the internet properly in school. so i must have been about 6.

I actually didn't start using the internet until I was about 11 or 12 years old, and we didn't get it in our home until a year or two later. My younger siblings of course got to start using it at a younger age, haha. :)

Hi friend,
I am young man only 24-year old! I started using Internet after high school the same as you but I got really know-how when I was a sophomore, a little late for my ages, yeah? Don't laugh at me,hehe!
My parents like PC stuff but at present they don't how to use a computer. I will buy them a new one and teach them how to use it so that we can get connected via Internet for free. since I am working quite far from them, if this came true, we can have video chat every day which sounds great! God bless me!
