What do you love/like to do during summer...???

I've never been to the spa or been on a cruise, but those would both be fun to do this summer! Sure wish I had the money for them - LOL! Those are great ideas, though. For the summer, I usually start by painting my toenails again because I wear sandals and flip flops so I have to have them painted before I can show them off! I also like the enjoy the warmer weather by going outside and trying to get a tan. I need a tan! I like to get my hair done for the summer with some highlights to get a lighter color that is more characteristic for the season. My husband and I go to the park since there's a lake to swim in. I'm in Michigan, but nowhere near the Great Lakes so we only swim in the smaller lakes or pools. I wish I were near the ocean. I love to lay out on the beach and sleep or read a book. Speaking of reading, I love to read during the summer. It's fun to be lazy when it's warm. I just like to lay around the house or outside and read. Now I'll have to take my laptop with me so I can stay on MyLot too! There are so many things to do in the summer with the weather being so nice. This summer, my husband and I want to clean out our garage. We haven't lived at our house even a year yet so we have lots of things to go through and get rid of, but it's been too cold during the winter to go out to the garage since it isn't heated. It should be nice out soon to start on our project! Our things out there are still all in boxes so we don't even know what's in them! It should be interesting to find all these things we'd forgotten about for the ten months we've lived at our house! Isn't that sad? Oh well...I'm hoping to find some wonderful treasures. (LOL) Oh, and I can't forget to tell you my absolutely FAVORITE thing to do in the summer - go to garage sales! Thanks for asking. What a fun discussion. hello cloud! wow! how i wish i can do cruising as well...hehe but i don't have enough money to spend...hehe well anyway, during summer, when i was a kid i love it coz its time for us to go swimming (even if i am not good in swimming) and i like it coz that's also the time for summer sportsfest in our place...there's a lot of fun activities to do during summer and also i love eating the halo-halo, snowball & banana con yelo! but these days, i think its really really hot and i can't stand the burning sun when i am outside so i prefer to stay at home...haha but i also like to go swimming but not on the beach, instead i like to go where there's falls coz the water there is colder and its perfect for summer to feel cooler & fresher!

I really just love summer itself. I love doing anything in the warmth and sunshine. This year I really hope to be able to spend a lot of time with my sister and her little one who is due soon, going for walks and little stuff like that. I like going to parks and maybe doing a little camping. I love summer!

During the summer, I like to spend more time outside. I also visit my family up north when I can. Summers for me aren't much different than the reast of the year, but I still like the vibe they have. Everyone seems to be in a much better mood and in the mood to relax. It's great. I love cruises, too, but I hardly ever have the chance to go on them. Prices for cruises are amazing now, though!

One thing i love to do during summer is to go swimming with my friends and relatives. Its the only time i can go bonding and spend time with my relatives and friends since most of them go to school. We like to go to different beaches and take pictures all the time. We always want to capture the happy moments that we had. Summer wont be as special as it is if i dont get the chance to be with them.

hi cloud 31 on my finances I might be able to buy a candybar 'downstairs in our Gold crest little store, but a cruise any where is totally out of the question. I would love to just drive down'to Newport beach and sun myself on the beach and watch the surf, ' oh I do not drive so would take the bus, but it gets me down' there. but have not gone for a long time do to a lot of family problems that dumped me in this tiresome retirement center.ugh ugh. ugh.

Wow, I've never been on a cruise tour before. What cruise tour do you take? and how much does it costs? I have been thinking of cruising someday, and I really want to do it while I'm still single and don't have any expenses yet. Like most Filipinos, our family tend to go to beach and resorts just too battle the heat. I love going to the beach and just hang out and relax, and just forget about my work and other stuff.

Hi Cloud, During summer, i just want to be on work-break and stay in the province with my mom. of course, i need to bring along with me my family. my kids love biking and playing in the yard. i enjoy eating variety of in-season fruits that we have in our backyard. oh my i miss this province-vacation of ours.

Hi IJ, if i don't go to the beach in summertime i normally stay home and live in the swimmingpool. Our summers here get extremely hot and you can only take so much. But a nice cruise sounds awesome. TATA.

i like the summer scrub better, particularly the ones you get from public spas in seoul. that relaxes the muscles and puts the mind in a better perspective. but summertime here in the philippines, there are beaches and good diving spots where one can pass the heat of summer and imbibe in the cool waters of the seas. but those things are better done with the family or loved ones...

Really? that's what i like to do in the near future because i didn't experience cruising ever since. Glad that you are enjoying this experiences. We only go to the nearby beaches or resorts during summer together with my husband and daughter and sometimes with our friends and families. I personally love to eat that's why i make myself happy eating all sorts of my favorite fruits like mangoes, watermelons etc. during hot summer days.

For starters I like the fact that you can go outside at night and its still warm, no jacket or sweater needed. The summer time, gives everyone energy to where they stay active during the day, unlike the winter time when we all become lazy and stay indoors. Its the best time to have family outings like barbecues, picnics, and pool parties. For those of you girls that like to get tans, summer is the one time to get that tan and look great! Its the only time you get to show off your new bathing suit to your man and the time where your man gets to wear no shirt and look good doing it. And finally its the time when iced tea and lemonade taste the best!!

I enjoy gardening, fishing when it is hot.

I'm not really a summer person, I prefer rainy days over sunny days. The heat has just become so unbearable the past couple of months, that I would usually hide out in my air-conditioned room. lol. normally during summer, I try to go to cold places just to wait out the summer heat.

Swimming and mountain climbing for me is good for summer,a gathering with friends too. Take care Cloud!

Hi cloud, Seeing the way you enjoy summer, I feel I could accompany you on cruise during one of the summer! U know cloud, as part of my official duty I was required to sell on a ship continueously for 15 days. Those 15 days I used to enjoy the cool breeze of sea on deck of the ship. Watchinf sunrise and SUnset from middle of the sea, is really a freat experience, i can't describe in words. I did watch these beautiful scene everyday during those 15 days. Exercising on deck was also a pleasent experienced. I did enjoy these kind of duty for about 4 years. Yes when on shore, In summer I enjoy to go to beaches and bathing (Not sweeming) in sea. I have visited some of the famous sea beaches in India, GOa, Diu, Pondicherry to name a few. Other thing I enjoy is going to bank of river and sit quitely on its bank and listen to sound of flowing water, I am in love of that sound. I also enjoy going on hill stations. india have some wonderful hill stations like Shimala, manali, masoorrie, ooty, kodai canal, maha baleshawr, nainital Matheran and so on, i have visited almost all of them. In fact I enjoy to be with nature, whenever feasible, I go to Mother nature and enjoy its beauty, in whatever form. And i get peace of mind in doing so! Happy Mylotting and enjoy!

During summer its always great to plan something like family outing or just picnics or a simple get together that will bring the family closer. I like swimming the most making me feel so relaxed while enjoying the time with loved ones. This is the time of the year where in we get to see each other and spend some quality time as well.After all those busy days working and for my nephews school ,this time all we are thinking about is how to enjoy and relax which is the real purpose of a family gathering ;)

I would love to drown myself in a pool of cold water. It is becoming too hot here in India with each passing year. Something seriously needs to be done for global warming or else we are gonna start melting one summer!
