There were no utterly safe environment, but we have just want our family and everyone else to be safe in the community where we reside. In the recent years, the community, or the county where I reside, there were crimes rising daily, and monthly. Robbery, gang fights, and gun shot all over the news and radio. I grew fear whenever I hear about this news. I was in searching for a safer place for my family, where they can have a peace of mind, and I can have my peaceful mind of my own. Is it safe where you live?

Dear friend,
Until now no problems have arised here to show that our community is not safe. May be we all here goes as if all goes well. But year back we had a communal riot was many years back. The place I leave is in South India and small place called Cochin. Here it at present going well.

Well, in the place where I live, I could say that it is safe. But there are places in our vicinity that I would say its quite unsafe. There have been reported snatching, robbery and gang fights. It is really different nowadays as compared to the early days where you could walk in the streets safely without fearing for any thing that might happen. What is important is to be alert always and avoid going home late considering that most of the crime incidence occur late at night.

Please, if you want safe, NEVER move to San Diego, California or anywhere near it! I was down there for a few hours at a friends house, and when i got out to my car I found tons of glass on the ground. Then I realized my drivers side window was smashed ( with a hammer I found underneath my car ) and they stole my ipod and my organzier.
I was so pissed. It was an old ipod that was not visible at first glance in my car. They would have seriously been looking through the window with a flash light to see it. Basically I am now without my business planner for work, and no music. Plus i had to dish out $250 deductible for car insurance to get my window replaced becuase the window was $286.
If this person wanted an ipod and asked me I would have given it to them. Seriously, not a safe place!!!!! stay away!!!!

I think my community is fairly safe, although the next street might not be. I grew up in a sheltered community where everyone knew everyone else and it was perfectly safe for kids and young women to be walking alone at night. I wouldn't be too confident to do that elsewhere.

Well no place is without crime or other things that threaten the safety of the people. There has not been that much crime all that close to me as of late, but to say it is impossible would be a foolhardy assumption on my part. There is always someone out there who will threaten the safety of the common man. For reasons known only to them, but it does happen.
However, all things considered, I think I am pretty safe. It could be worse. It could be better, but it could be much, much worse. At least, there is not any major crimes to report of in the general area. Of course, just because there is not any, does not mean there could be. So I always live with one eye carefully pealed and expecting the unexpected. Even the safest person in the world can be in danger in this crazy world that we lived in.

We live out in the country in a very, very rural area. We live in the middle of two Amish farms and it takes about an hour to get to a Walmart, so that's how far away from the city we are. It's a pain to drive to work every day, but it's what we wanted for the security of our family because it's safe there and it's a good community and the people around us are very neighborly and friendly and that's what we wanted.
I think it's a shame that people have to grow up in bad neighborhoods and have to be afraid for themselves and their families. It's something that no one should have to go through and if everyone used their brains before doing things then people wouldn't have to go through that. Unfortunately, the world's not like that.

Hi! I am so proud that I live in Hong Kong and it is a very safe place!
The crime rate is relatively and minor offences such as robbery, shoplifting not often happened. I think the major reason is Hong Kong is a small place but there are many police, firemen, etc. Our personal safety and property can be protected.By the way, the citizens here is so law-abiding, they know the consequence of committing crimes and seldom violate the law!
