Is it necessary to buy a new smart phone?

Since I've already got a laptop, a digital camera and an MP4 player, and a new smart phone sucn as Nokia X6-00 will cost a lot. Maybe I can use my money in somthing else, maybe my further study. But I really like the cool functions of smart phones and I don't want to be out of date . So can you tell me if it's necessary for me to buy a new smart phone?

I think u have plenty of stuff with u for day to day work .Just because the new thing has arrived in the market does not mean we should always go for it .It is the matter of utility

Hello tanknox ;) I think it depends on your needs. Ask yourself, do you really think you need a smart phone? I know some people such as my brother who has a smart phone but don't use it to its full potential so it's pretty not worth it. :( I think smart phones are for busy bodies or for those who are always on the go. If you work in the office maybe you wouldn't need a smart phone.. but if you are a person who travels a lot then maybe you need one to keep up with some friends or so.. :)

When you need money for higher education its better you not spend on a smart phone.You can indulge in a smart phone only if money isn't a constraint.Otherwise the phone you are having will suffice.Its only if the phone is essential for your needs and your finances permit then its better to buy one else you can suppress your desire for a smart phone.

Previously i used to brag a lot bout havin a top notch smartphone but now i feel everything is useless. A netbook does fine... and a phone is just a phone... Adios

Yeah, you're right. It's enough to have a phone that can just make phone calls and send messages. But I really want to experience the new hi-tech products. And I'd like to see my friends' faces when I show them my new smart phone. I thinke it's a problem of my vanity. Anyway, I'm still considering, and I will try to stay sane. Thanks a lot.
