Today is Holy Thursday, and since Holy week is a period of forgiveness and reconciliation with our faith we must offer forgiveness to people who wronged us and caused us pain and sorrow. If there is one person whom you offer your forgiveness, who would it be and why?

hello there,
as for me, i can think of anyone since i don't keep bad feelings for others in my heart, when someone cause me some pain & sorrows, or when there's someone who done me wrong, i don't keep it that long. i do forgive them whether they ask for it or not. but of course its not easy to forget. i guess we don't need to wait for any occasion like the holy week, christmas or whatsoever to forgive people...

I am actually trying to forgive my friend who have caused great trouble and misery on my side. But I really don't know how to get rid of the feeling that I am suffering right now. I just hoped that time can heal the wounds that I have suffered....

Yes, like you, me too, wishing that time heals all wounds I got from a very traumatic encounter, I just week all my prayers will be finally heard so that I can start a new and mind my own life, sometimes emotional trouble is such a difficult task to handle.

Yep, today is Maundy Thursday and I just think about giving forgiveness to the people or a person who have caused me so much pain and heartaches. Yes it is always very comforting and relieving to forgive those people who had caused us pain. Happy Easter to you too.

I have already forgiven the one person that cause me so much pain and misery in the past. I used to think of revenge and I want to inflict the pain i had to that person and I want to know how will he would respond. I want him to suffer just like me. I think this negative emotion clouded my mind for quite a long time and it
really makes me a sinner.
Then one day I realized that harboring a hatred to someone is not a positive thing to do. One must forgive and let bygones be bygones and it's the only way to move on with my life and start a peaceful heart and mind. Now I am at peace with myself.

Given the chance to respond to this subject, well I guess I won't be able to answer the question, "if there is one person whom you offer forgiveness, who would it be and why?". This is because at the onset of this discussion I beg to disagree with the first premise that Holy Week is a period of forgiveness and reconciliation.
With all due respect Jlamela, forgiving and reconciliation is not an occasional event. We should learn to forgive and reconcile everyday.
