Sim cards come from cell providers (the company in which you have your phone with) And, problems that would be with the sim card would be with the company. Problems a sim card could have, would be water damage, chipping, or something that would hinder the card from being read by the phone. Internet speed, network connections, have nothing to do with the sim card itself.
The cell phone -- any cell phone-- can read signels from any nearby tower. The further you are away from the tower the weeker the signel strength. Week signel strength causes slows in data, sending and receiving of phone calls etc.
If you are having trouble with your connection speed, sending and receiving phone calls, text messages, or are having problems with custmor care, that's the provider's fault and not the card.
A sim card tells the phone it is active. It connects your number to the phone so the phone can be used as a phone. If a sim card is damaged 911, or any emengercy phone number can still be reached.
So get your facts streight, or reword your discussion next time.
