Looking for constructive critisim

I have an article on Helium that has just been a bummer. I was hoping you guys could take a look at it and give me some constructive criticism as to what is wrong with it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello, and welcome to MyLot. The article is top rated, but it's in creative writing, and they don't earn page views like other channels. I'd suggest you look on the help pages at Helium to see which channels get most view, and try to write to those. I write creative writing articles every now and again just because I feel like it, but if you're after earnings, I'd go for channels like IT, personal finance, travel, business, diet and fitness.

Well, I re-wrote it yesterday, it had been sitting in the 102 slot for about 2 years. I know that the creative writing doesn't earn much, I was just wanting to improve my story rankings with some helpful pointers. I seem to have lucked out with the person rating it at the right time. I don't ever expect my creative stuff to earn. But, seeing it as my worst ranked story for so long and not really understanding why was bothering me. Thanks for your comments. I want to put some of my stuff in my profile but have yet to figure out how....I will be checking that out!
