I use my own name as part of my username on almost all of the sites that I belong to, including here on myLot. I have no problem using it,
I think many are wary of using their own name, some because they don't want to be recognised by friends or family who might be on the same sites, and others because they are still not familiar with internet and find it somewhat 'scary'.

Yeah..that was what I thought.
But then I realize, how if someone hacked my account on other sites? Perhaps I should think to change it. How about you..Don't you have the same fear?

simply because you can't trust anybody these days most especially on the net, the net is full of fraud, deceit and lies, so in order to protect ourselves and our privacy we don't use our real names..
