I have six children each child has a different character about them. All 6 children have good points aswell as little bad points, they are all caring.Today my son was ill so he came home from school and he struggled in pain until he said he was ill to the teacher and due to other health problems they rang us to collect him. When he got home he was soo pleased to show me his award that he had got and it was a governors award in recognition of his hard work that he had done in that term,he also got a £5 voucher aswell. He was soo proud and soo was i that made him feel better faster. He has struggled at school for so long due to a learning problem as this was an achievement for him to get an award.

Congratulations for your son's achievement. You get Best Response award here and your son gets Governor's award in his school. You are all award getting family. I can understand how happy you should be feeling moreso when your son is getting an award after learning problem. I herewith send chocolates for the talented child.

hi jugsjugs that is really fantastic and must have made him feel'
so proud of himself. I can see you too are proud as well you should
be as I think when children do well in school that usually shows a child
who has really supportive parents. And if it was a bit harder for him than some of the others then he will be even more proud as he worked to
overcome his struggles. thats so good for a school to do that as it
will really aid the children to want to do better in school.

I have one child and two grand children. My grandson recently got an award as well for his trying so hard in his class. He is a pretty good kid. Nice to hear of what your son has accomplished. Six children? My goodness. I don't think I would still have my wits about me if I had that many kids. My grandmother had eight sisters and a brother. Ugh!

That is awesome that your son received the award from his school and you have every right to be proud of him. I think that schools need to have more recognition for the average or even LD children because everyone needs to experience some degree of success in their lives. The voucher that came along with his reward was probably the best pick-me-up that he could have received when he was feeling so bad from being ill. I hope that he feels a lot better soon.

I am so proud of my son too.
Not that he had received recognition or medal at school; he is just 1 year and 9 months and yet he makes me proud.
He makes me proud because I can see him grow more independent and a really good boy.
When I see him learning things like, saying "water please"..it makes me damn proud.
I know these are just simple thinks that my son do but for me it is an achievement already. I think that is the price of being a mom.
How much more if he have achieved something at school or in the community...
I thinks that is the price of being a mom, knowing that our child is doing well and good.

This is fabulous. Congratulations to you and your son! I hope that he recovers and is feeling all better soon too!
Awards from hard work accomplished from school is so commendable. I used to get awards at school also. It leaves you feeling good. A positive sign that you are working well on the right direction! Good for him. Especially since he has experienced learning troubles in the past. This is so sweet. I would be proud also.
