well politics is always what a "Juan Dela Cruz" see on tv and read on newspapers and it's a major issue but what im concern is the things only in the Philippines i think so let me start with almost or maybe half of Philippine's population is let say in low class of living or the poor one but a notice something they have their cellphone they do texting man they have cellphone load but the food to eat?..man what the F they should star thinking that food is much important that texting and another one is i see a banana vendor then he go to a store then said "pa load nga po"which means he want to buy cellphone load.man he use his own earnings but i think that he should prioritize a certain necessity like food on their table not cellphone load and prioritize texting.well there many things only in the Philippines what story only in the Philippines do you have?.... need your opinions happy blogging ^^

I'm a Filipino too. People just can't seem to know how to prioritize. Vendors having a cellphone is okay because it has been a necessity now in the Philippines and it could be used during emergencies, but vendors having a textmate is not. Having a textmate or texting too much is just a waste of money. Filipinos should know how to weigh things, prioritize and make good decisions. But then again, many of the Filipinos aren't educated which most likely is the reason they don't know how to make good decisions. I say the government should educate them and stop taking the people's money. What I have noticed with the Filipinos is that they want to make more children so that they could have more laborers to earn money. It became as if it's the children's responsibility to earn money while their parents gamble and drink until they drop. Tsk tsk.. I hope that these belief or way of thinking will be removed so that the children could go to school properly and not work. And maybe have a better future.

This is sad but true. Some Filipinos prioritize things like these instead of what they should be prioritizing about like, food, education, etc.,There was this one time when our maid was talking on her cellphone with her nephew in the province and after the call she was telling me that her nephew's looking for a job here in Manila. He wants to stop studying and start earning money because he wants to buy a cellphone.

sadly, that is true. it is not much far from having a television set in the house when one cannot pay for electricity regularly. i think people are still not aware of the basic necessities of life: food, shelter and clothing. other extras should come when one is guaranteed of the stability of provisions of the three. that's why i always cast a doubtful eye on those who have luxurious and branded things. most of the time, with our economy here in our country, that person is uninformed, stubborn or plain stupid. peace .

Hmmmm. It's only in the Philippines where some political leaders tell the public that it's okay to have a lot of children even if you don't have anything to feed them, and they can't go to school because you don't have enough money... I know that this is still a big issue in our country, population and controlling it. I just don't understand why they keep telling the people that it's okay when we all know that it's not. Don't they cringe when they see poor children doing some labor just to help their parents earn more so that they can have something to eat? Don't they think about the children's future at all? Argh.

not only do they load their celphones all the time, they have the latest model as well if not the collest models available. you'll see another trend in the next 6 to 8 months. the new phone that you bought months ago will be an old model... thing is, they can afford it. anyway, its becoming more of a trend or a culture in the philippines nowadays.

I don't know some Filipinos prioritize having a load and newest models of cellphones than buying a food which is necessities. It is not practical now a days to spend much on luxury.

your absolutely right! not only that, many were saying they dont have money but you will see them playing cards or bingo at home! many filipinos blame the government because they dont have job but you will see them just in there house like waiting for money to fall from heaven, they should also work and do something and not always blaming the government!

i don't think this is the case for all, maybe for some who have only their phones as their priority - like chatting with friends, etc but i think many still think the basic necessity of the food will be better to enjoy than to be hungry but have a cellular phone load.

if they have load they felt that they could make it proud if they dont have a load they feel ashame to the others that would tease them. that is their life, they are enjoying in sending messages to their text mates. me i only load my cellphone once a month.

Yes. And I hate thinking about this. How could people intend to prioritize cellphone loads than food. Although, on a positive note, it only shows how Filipinos love to socialize others.

You are correct, have you tried to go to depress areas in Metro Manila? You will that almost all of people living in these areas are complaining how hard life is but you will see that every person has a cellphone.

Hi werty009, I'm a Filipino too, a mother. I prioritize not the loads but of course the basic necessity, the food. I have a business with loading; in fact I have three cellphones for the three networks that I'm into business with. It is a fact that mostly Filipinos especially living in a depressed areas are backbiters, they love gossip. They think that by minding people's business is a cool thing. When the cellphones becomes the "in" thing the industry thrives here with a bang! You see, because Filipinos love gossip.

I already noticed the same thing bout filipinos they tend to think more of their load balance than that of what is it that they have on their plate. I dont know if its just stubbornness or what but i think we all have to realize to prioritize our goals. I mean dont you want your family to be at least be confident that they have something to eat and they dont need to worry about anything anymore? sad to say but most of our countrymen are thinking the other way around. They rather have somethin like a load first before just bout anything that they really need.Sad reality but thats how life is in the philippines

'man does not live by bread alone.' he needs to socialize and communicate as well. hahaha. don't be surprised if somebody responds to you like that. but good observation, though. peace!
