Somebody told they love you on April Fool's Day,joke or serious?

Well, wait and see if it is a joke or true. You just never know on April Fools Day. Why would it be a joke. Has he not seems to care that much in the past and now suddenly he does? Maybe he just choice that day to tell her and it happens to be the first. Just have to wait and see.

I would have a great suspicion of this, many people can look serious and have a straight face and act like they are sincere but really not be. If he comes around more and starts acting like he is really interested in her and asks her out then he may have been serious but I would have my guard up for awhile. If he is joking it won't last long, if he is sincere then he will show that over time. But telling someone you love them on any day is a serious matter and should never be done in a joking manner as it can cause deep harm that is lasting.

Hmmm... People around here aren't really fond of April Fool's, but neither are they naive about it. So perhaps that classmate of yours should assess for herself if she should believe the guy or not. It's not about sincerity really, you cannot really know unless the profession of love is continuous not just on this day but for the rest of their lives. Further, I'm wondering why she didn't ask him outright if it were a joke and why on April Fool's? I mean, I know the situation might have been very serious indeed but a good sense of humor would thaw things up if the situation is overly stiff or serious, if you know what I mean. As for me, I've never really encountered such on April Fool's neither have I really truly participated in showering jokes around that day.

If this kind of thing happen to me, First I will ask the person if he know that is fool's day? If he is serious and do not know , So I think that is serious On the other hand, If the guy know that day is fool's day, So what he said can not believe, It is joke. :)

I've never experienced anything like this before. But if it were me, I would just take the I LOVE YOU lightly, meaning not too serious in case it's a joke and not too jokey in case it's true. Then, I'd give it a few days and if he still says he loves me after April Fools, THEN i'd consider it. :)

Was he aware of it being April fools? If so, I'd assume it to be a joke. If he really has those feelings for her, it'll show in how he acts towards her. I don't think anyone who was really serious about something like that would ever say it knowing its a day for pranks and jokes.

Well, I don't have any experience that on this day someone proposed me but yes, one of my friends, proposed a girl on April's fool and she didn't accepted. She thought he is fooling him and then we make them understood that he is not fooling, he is serious and then she accepted and said she also love him so much. It was a fine day after that, half of the day was engaged in just anger but later it was fine and we all were so happy for them.

I think they made somebody fools if they told someone that they love you.. because that day was 1st April.. and everybody know well that on these day.. mostly people make fool each other.. and i think.. it's very very funny if somebody choose this day for proposing you.. have a nice day and keep mylotting always..

She needs to listen to her heart in order to decide weather that statment was a joke, or a true admission of love. Does this girl have feelings for this guy? Do they like each other at all? Your friend is the only one who can determine for herself how to take the statment.

That's tricky! could be true. maybe the guy liked him for a very long time and he found a situation when he can burst his feelings to her without getting in trouble. The best thing to do is to observe and wait for the guy's next step but tell her not to assume because it can also be a joke.

He's playing safe - if you react violently or emotionally saying "I'm not ready" or "I think it's best we remain friends" or any way to place him back to the friends zone - then it's an April Fool's Joke. if you say "I love you too" - then it's not an April Fool's Joke. Either way, he's testing the waters - fishing how you feel in return for him. Unless of course he is not into you / you are ugly - then he prolly did that to hurt you feelings / make a joke / prank on you. :) The outcome is pretty obvious.

well what does your friend think?..does she think that the guy was sincere or just some nut tell a girl i love you i think it's the sincerity of the person to say i love you on April Fool's but if after saying not a simple laugh,giggle or something maybe the guy is sincere enough to say that he love your friend.

The Guy must be crazy or he is trying to make fool outta your friend Zong.I never came accross such incident until now---i think this would be first and last too ---so forgot about the climax what was your friends reaction---If she accepts it she would become a fool---better choice would be to postpone it other day so both of them can work out things better without much confusion .great day.

No, someting like that never happened to me. I think your friend need to wait a day or two and if this guy tells her again that he loves her, then she will know he was serious. I cannot think that something like this could be funny at all. TATA.
