We have quite few dogs that wind up on our doorstep for some reason that are lost. Thankfully responsible owners have them tagged or chipped to make it easier for them to be returned. But for some reason they wind up on our doorstep like they own the place or something. It is a bit scary since you do not know they will react. we have had a couple of cats too, but mainly dogs. or puppies. Have you experienced this yourselves? Please share your story.

to be honest, my dogs dont have any chip under hsi skin, here is very new this technic, and its a little expensive.. but i think that makes good results so i must think it.. its a huge problem when dogs run away at home, we must run for them a lot of streets until we catched him, its a little stupid hehehe..
thanks for asking, have a ncie day and happy easter.

Ours is chipped but it still does not guarantee anything. The chip did get her returned only because the vet she went to knew know gives these types of dogs away. Thanks for your input.

Yeah some of them have a great a sense of smell ,some just lose their way or get snatched , dumped, it can be very sad. I just am curious as to why they end up at our house, lately. Thanks.

Yes it is. You feel bad for them. but at the same time. you might be in fear of them since you do not know them. It is a hard call and a tear jerker at times.

Hi newtalent,
Our house dog got lost a few years ago. We didn't know where she went, we looked everywhere in the neighborhood. We thought she'll wind up in our driveway in a few days, but it took one week, she hasn't returned. My dad was so depressed. He can't sleep and eat well because we lost our dog we had for about ten years. I was in the verge of accepting she is really gone and would never come back, suddenly, there's a familiar bark outside our gate! It's our dog, finally coming home. I was so amazed how she able to trace her way back home and really knew the scent of her masters. She was limping when she came back, and very sick. Our dog was confined by the vet, and even needed surgery! That added another emotional burden to my dad. Cats aren't the only animal who has nine lives, I believe dogs has, too! Our dog survived the surgery, and back into our home, healthy and well and strong although quite old.

I am glad to hear that your dog made with through everything okay. That is hard. Ours was stolen for 11 days and it was hard to deal with. You never know what you miss until it is gone. It was a bit expensive reunion but I am sure she was worth it. Take care.
