Summer Outing

Summer outing or swimming, taking a break is not once in a year experience for us. We live in cebu and cebu is known to be an island province and we are surrounded by great beaches. We also have a house in the province somewhere south of cebu and we are here now. We can always go to the waters and swim and enjoy especially when it is high tide.

i would like to agree with you, its vry nice to go out swimming specially in my country right now since its summer.. the weather is too hot so we often go to the sea and relax and enjoy the water.

Hello lovelyn; A family summer outing sounds fabulous. We all used to go to the beach and was so much fun! Nowadays when I go to the beach, I basically just suntan. I don't swim in the ocean, even though there are times that I have wanted to but find it far to cold. Same goes for the lake and the river, which I used to swim in regularly. I do like to go to the pool more these day and enjoy swimming very much as well as using the super slides. If we were able to have a family summer outing anytime in the near future, I would think of something to make, like a macaroni and cheese salad, maybe grab a flat of water and or soda or juice of some sort. I would get a bag of ice for the cooler and perhaps some paper plates and cups. I would think that others would also bring something as well. Sort of a pot luck gathering. The cost for me would probably be under thirty dollars. If we were going to a resort for a week end or such, I would be willing to spend a few hundred dollars to cover the cost of the room. Hopefully the travel wouldn't be too distant so that I could simply drive, in which case the cost of gas would be factored in to the several hundred dollar get away for a couple days. You are right about the waves at the ocean. I love to lay on the beach, in the sunshine with my eyes closed, listening to the waves. It is so peaceful and relaxing. I live for the summer for this experience alone. Have a Great Time! Cheers.

Hi, lovely_medrano. I think that I like the beach more than I do with the swimming pool. I have not been to either one of these places in a very long time. That explains why I had salt water burn on my skin the last time that I went to the beach. And I am scared of the high waves that the water brings upon me. I like to stay near the low water rim for safety precautions.

Yep, summer outing is fun! The beach is good If you're into diving, boat riding, snorkling, or just likes to ride with the waves. I like both beach and pool, except I'm not a swimmer, I just like to dip in the water hehe. Puerto gallera is a nice place to go to aside from boracay. I think it's a 30-45 mins boat-ride from Batangas. I've also been to Canyon Cove in Batangas two years ago. Our friend treated us there. It's a very nice place. It has a pool and a beach. The water in the pool is salt-water too. Last year, we went to Cebu. Cebu also has nice beaches. For this year, we already had a family reunion at a private resort in Laguna. However, still me and my friends are still scouting for this summer outing. I think we're going to try the 8 or 9 waves resort somewhere in Taytay or Marikina I think.

hi lovelyn_medrano, it so hot in the Philippines, but you know what i much like pending my summer in nature hopping like in La Mesa Eco park, there you will have nature adventure at the same time there is also a swimming pool so its all in one! the air is so cold and you will feel relax, try it!
