Fielding skills in the world of cricket have been dramatically improved since South African great Jonty Rhodes stepped on the cricketing field. He revolutionized this art and today we see many athletic players, diving, saving runs and taking some breathtaking catches :) We have seen brilliant fielders, now in every team, like Gibbs, Symonds, Collingwood, De Villers, David Hussey, Adam Vogues, Louie Vincent, Bravo, Yuvraj, Suresh Raina, ROhit Sharma and the list goes on.. Who you think is the best Fielder after the great Jonty Rhodes.. !!

Yes I agree with you. Jonty Rhodes was one of his kind. David Hussey I would say after he took that excellent catch. Warner is also a very good fielder but I would say David Hussey surely would make his mark as a best fielder.

yea, that was a superb catch. I remember Adam Voges once caught a similar catch in an internation T20 against NZ.I have seen some good catches taken by Collingwood and Gibbs too :)

Yes, the fielding standards the world over has improved over the last few years. It has been mainly due to the advent of the ODIs to begin with and now with the T20 cricket where each run saved is a run scored and that could make a big difference in the final tally. So yes, you can say that Jonty set the standards that others have now tried to emulate and that has led to the improved standards. Cheers! Ram

now that teams have started to take their fielding seriously, evey team has 2-3 exceptional fielders. But when it comes to fielding, jonty comes first and may be ricky ponting comes second during his prime (as a fielder)
